True to the plan we went next Tuesday to Mavis's "appointment". As we walked into the office we both expected to see them. We didn't. I was ready to turn around and go back to the car, Mavis had other plans.

"Let's wait a few minutes. We can pretend I'm waiting for my turn to go see Dr. D. Maybe they're late today. Please." Mavis begged me.

"We can't do that Mavis. If you're sitting in here the desk lady will think you're here to see Dr.D. They'll think it's an emergency or something we have to go." I tell her.

Juniper you're a genius! I can tell them I'm here for an emergency and if they come in while you're waiting you can get their numbers!" She says, getting excited.

"Mavis! You can't just lie like that. What if someone needs to see him and they can't because you're in there. That's not fair to them."

"It's not even a lie though. Think about it. I'm here for social anxiety and I'm trying to get a stranger to go out with me. If this isn't an emergency I don't know what is."

"How are you going to explain to him that you're here for an emergency session becuase you want to date a guy who is also a patient at this office? Do you really think he's gonna like that idea?"

"I think he'll like that I'm trying to interact with others. He'll take it as me putting in an effort. This is a good thing."

"Fine. Go, but know I am not supportive of this."

"Thank you! I'll be back. If they come in you have to talk to them. I definitely can't do it. See you later!"

She practially skips up to the front desk to tell them she has to talk to Donny because it's an emergency. Yeah that's believeable. Most people skip when they have an emergency. I sit to wait for her and hopefully the guys too. I mean, if they don't show up it's a complete waste of our time, but if they do show up good things could come of it. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Mavis had been in with Donny for twenty minutes when Sean walked in. He was alone this time, I wonder where Scott is. Not that it matters to me other than the fact that Sean is going to go into his appointment and I won't be able to talk to him. I can say hello though.

"Hey, Sean. Fancy seeing you here." I say as way of greeting, original I know.

"Oh hi! Um, Mavis right?" Sean says, smirking at me.

"No that's my sister. My sister who you've never met and wouldn't confuse with me because you actually met me."

"Okay you got me. I knew you were Juniper. I was just playing it cool. Didn't want to embarrase myself, seem to eager, ya know?"

"I called you by your name. I could have easily confused you and Scott. I met both of you and your names both start with an 'S'. So by trying to play it cool you infact called yourself out on how big of a loser you are."

"Wow, you're a lot to deal with. No wonder your sister is crazy." He teases.

"Haha very funny. You know I could actually take offense to that, even if you are in the same boat as us." I point out.

"Well then I can take offense to you calling me a nut. Even if you're in the same boat as me."

"Fine. So where's Scott? I thought he usually came with you to these things?"

"Usually. Today he had somewhere he had to go so he dropped me off. He supposed to come get me in an hour and a half, but he'll probably be longer. He's on a date."

"He went on a date in between dropping you off and picking you up from your doctor's appointment? Is he expecting it to go bad?"

"Well I guess date isn't really the right word for it. He's hooking up with some girl from school."
