'Dumb and dumber' might as well be defined as Kim Minseok and Kim Jongdae.
At least, if Kyungsoo had his own dictionary, that's what he'd list them as.
When he met them the next day while walking to the Saturday student council meeting, Kyungsoo couldn't believe who he was talking to. They were the stupidest, the lousiest, the most ridiculous people he had ever met.
And also, a very lovely couple.
He happened upon them completely by accident in the office. Apparently, they had a lot of catching up to do in the school, and were asked to come in on Saturday just like he was.
Immediately, he felt jealous. The two were sitting in chairs pushed against the wall, Jongdae's head on Minseok's shoulder, their fingers intertwined. They looked absolutely made for each other.
Kyungsoo couldn't say he was angry at them or anything, but he did feel like some of the things he and Jongin did were a little 'off' the relationship road. They were together, but sort of far apart.
Minseok and Jongdae, on the other hand, looked like two souls tied together. They probably knew everything about each other, could breathe through one another, live through each other if they could.
Kyungsoo approached them diligently, crushing the mail he'd taken from his mailbox. The papers crinkled, and the sound caused both boys sitting in the chairs to look at him.
Kyungsoo bowed politely. "Hello."
And that's when hell decided to break loose.
"Minnie! It's the president!"
"How do you do, Mr. Do?"
"Aigoo! You have big eyes! Doesn't he have big eyes?"
"Like binoculars!"
Minseok's last statement really made Kyungsoo want to punch him in the face. But somehow, he managed to curve his lips into a forced smile and restrain his curled fists.
The two were like puppets tied together by their drawstrings. Kyungsoo feared there was no possible way to break them apart. Thus, he was doomed to listen to their joined comments as they walked down the halls of the school.
They asked the most idioctic questions and remarked on the stupidest things. Yifan had told Kyungsoo that both Minseok and Jongdae were Korean, so why were they acting as if this was a whole new world? It was fucking annoying.
"And this is the cafeteria," Kyungsoo told them, opening the door and gesturing towards the large space beyond.
Jongdae poked his head inside. "Wow! Do you have food here?"
Kyungsoo gritted his teeth. "No. We have dogs here. Follow me, please."
He gave them a tour of the entire school property. It was officially the worst hour of his life. Throughout the entire thing, Kyungsoo only sustained himself on the thought of two things.
The first one was obviously Jongin. As soon as the tour and the meeting were over, Kyungsoo could go back to his boyfriend. Despite them seeing each other just the day before, Kyungsoo already missed him.
Second, Kyungsoo really wanted to get high again. He couldn't explain the sudden desire, but the boredom he was feeling with Minseok and Jongdae might have had something to do with it. He needed something to compensate for the time he lost.
Anything that could get his head back into another world was acceptable. Kyungsoo just wanted to get out of here. If physically wasn't possible, then mentally was good enough for him.
