When you drown
Over and over
In your guilt
You choke on betrayal
Blaming yourself
For trusting too much

And all you see is darkness
Waiting to swallow you

And you see broken pieces of your life
Almost impossible to recollect
All you feel is self hate
Realising how you failed
And there's nothing to do
You think life is worthless
Love, forgiveness and acceptance-
Too much a price to pay
