I'm sitting at my desk, filling out paperwork and looking through cases. Multitasking is sort of my specialty. I have to finish my paperwork from the case we had the past two days. We finished last night around 11pm, Hotch sent us all home to get some rest.
I'm recounting what happened in my point of view. What happened was the unsub held a child at gun point. I stood with Morgan, guns pointed at his head. But we knew if we shot, he'd pull his own trigger too.
I had to use my words to distract him. He was in the midst of a psychotic episode and believed this kid was himself when he was younger. It was difficult, but I finally got him to remove his gun from the child's head just in time for JJ to sneak up behind him and shoot. He didn't make it, he bled out before the ambulance could get there.
After finishing my paperwork, I set the files down on Hotch's desk, then make my way to JJ's office. We discuss cases we've been sent and agree on one we need to solve.
The case is local, in DC. We debrief on the jet (we took the jet so we can get there quicker). It takes us about 20 minutes to get there. The rest of the team and I follow Hotch's orders on where we need to go, and what we need to do.
It's only 7pm by the time we get back to the BAU. I do some paperwork for this case, and Spencer and I head back home. While he's driving back to DC, I get a message.
"We're taking you dress shopping," It's from Penelope.
"Tomorrow, 2pm."- Emily.
"Y'all really don't have to do that," I text back.
"Um yes we do! You're getting married in a month, and you still don't have a dress. It's our job as your bridesmaids." - JJ
"Okay, okay. Thank you."
Spencer has a suit fitting tomorrow at 3, so this works out perfectly. My mom's been calling me non-stop about the wedding. She's paying for the catering and part of whatever dress I pick out, Rossi's paying the venue, and Spencer and I are paying for the rest.
I asked JJ to be my maid of honor two weeks ago. She cried when I asked her, which made me want to tear up.
"You were a mentor to me when I first started, and then you became my best friend. So yeah, I want you as my maid of honor."
"Aw Y/n, I love you!" She wraps her arms around me, hugging me tightly.
Everything but the dress and Spencer's suit is already wedding ready. I've made about a thousand check lists to "double" check.
Garcia and Emily sip their wine as I'm trying on the third dress today. I look in the mirror of the dressing room. The dress is sleeveless, ties up in the back, and the train is lace and long.
"I'm not sure about this one," I say, stepping out so that they can see me.
"It's pretty, but I don't think it's you," Prentiss says.
"Agreed."
I groan, stepping back into the dressing room where the nice lady helps me into another dress.
"This is taking forever!" I say.
"But it's worth it, Y/n!" JJ yells from the other side of the curtain.
This dress isn't me either. This whole process just makes me want to sit at home in my underwear eating ice cream and drinking beer. This is so stressful. I need it to be perfect, but my budget is fairly low, and I don't want an extravagant dress.
I gasp, looking into the mirror at the 6th dress I've tried on today. It's gorgeous.
I step out so the girls can see me. "Y/n," Garcia says.
"I think I actually love this one guys."
"Is this the one?" Emily asks me.
"I think it might be." I twirl in it a little bit, smiling to myself.
I try on a few other ones that I like too, just to be sure. But nothing is as good as the 6th one.
After changing back into my jeans and a t shirt, I go back to where the girls are and grab my bag.
"Oh for sure, I bet 100 dollars on it."
"100 dollars on what?" I ask.
"Reid's either going to pass out or cry a lot."
I giggle that them, rolling my eyes.
They come with me to check out. I went ahead and got the dress because I have a feeling this is the one. It needs to be tailored a little bit, taken in on the waist and bust, but that's about it.
We go to dinner, since it's almost 6 o'clock now, and I check my phone. Spencer texted me around 4 o'clock saying he's done with his fitting. It only took him an hour, not even that. He also said that he and Morgan ate, so I don't need to bring him home anything.
"Got any pictures of the dress?"
"You, sir, are not allowed to see it until the wedding."
"That's okay, I'd rather see you without clothes anyway."
I gasp a little. "Spence!" He laughs.
We watch some tv before heading to bed.Sunday is spent with us just being lazy around the house. We watch movies, read, sleep, snack, cuddle, and basically do nothing since we have to be at work bright and early tomorrow.
lol idk how i'm feeling about this story. is it too soon for them to get married? I HATE MY WRITING UGH.
