Complexion dark as midnight blue,
Neck adorned with skulls of the wicked,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
She who is the ridder of sins and vice.Whose two hands holds the sword and the trident,
While the other holds a severed head and another blesses,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
She who is the fierce warrior goddess.Who is the chief of the Mahavidyas, the great goddesses of wisdom,
She who is the embodiment of time,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
She who is the divine protectress.Whose body is devoid of any cloth,
Whose hair flies with the northern wind,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
She who sets us free.Who roars like the magnificent lion,
Whose feet rest upon Shiva, her husband,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
The end of all things gloom.Who is the incarnation of the divine feminine,
The untamed of all her forms,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
The ferocious yet loving mother of all.Who wishes not for allegiance,
And bears the pain of her children's demeaning,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
She who is ever forgiving.Who is the beginning of the creation,
And within whom will it submerge,
I bow down to Maa Mahakali,
The Supreme Reality of the cosmos.•||Om Sri MahaKalikayai Namaha||•

Innocence becomes a thing of past,
The mortal minds are all in turmoil,Then she comes,
As dark as night,
Ridding the world of sins and vice,She rejuvenates the world,
Freeing us from fear,
Like a ray of hope in darkest of times,
She battles against the evils in us,She is time itself,
The life-giving mother,
Yet she is the destroyer,
When her children are attacked,This is what Kali is,
The force of purity in us all,
This is what Kali is,
The hidden goddess in us all.***
Note; Kali, also known as Kalika, is a Hindu goddess. Kali is the chief of the Mahavidyas, a group of ten Tantric goddesses who each form a different aspect of the mother goddess Parvati. Kali's earliest appearance is that of a destroyer of evil forces. She is the most powerful form of Shakti,
