Salutations to the beautiful guardian of the west,
He who is the reminder of the beauties of life,
Salutations to the great healer,
Who shall cure the world of all pain and strife.I bow to the great keeper of keys,
Who unlocks the vaults of mind upon the right time,
I bow down to him, the great lord of light,
I pray to him earnestly to clear the delusions of our mind. You are the foremost of the westerners,
The first lord of the field of reeds,
You are the greatest embalmer,
Who preserved Ausar's sacred body. You are the accounter of hearts,
You know which had sinned and which kept their morals,
You bless the righteous ones with liberation,
And let the trespassers redeem through rebirths. You are the beloved son of Nebet-Het,
The magnificent lady of renewal,
She who resides in the darkness of night,
Watching over us, her children. You are the beloved nephew of Ausar and Aeset,
The lord and lady of death and life,
One who created the world and its wonders,
The other who brings forth their end.You are the magnificent lord of scales,
You keep order and chaos in balance,
In your presence their balance shall topple never,
Hail Anupu, the keeper of order! You are greatly elusive,
Your form is hidden from our sight,
Perhaps the enlightened has seen you,
And has known the truth of life. You are the one to whom the earth belongs to,
You make and desecrate it at your will,
Your love brings forth the eve of creation,
Your rage shall bring forth the genesis of destruction. You are the chief of all physicians,
None knows the art like you do,
Thus I pray to you, good lord, to rid us of every disease,
May we see a healthy tomorrow.Spirits and wraiths are your constant companion,
From your essence they come and submerge,
You release the souls of mortals from been shackled to this plane,
Hail Anupu, the reliever of worldly agonies! You teach us the true meaning of life,
How the present must be loved and the past to be learned from,
That we should not worry for the future,
For none can stop the inevitable. You let us not be stagnant and vile,
To only sit behind and let time flow away,
You remind us how should we fulfill life's work,
And to never wait for its results. You are the great nameless, formless one,
You reside in every mortal as the hidden wish for liberation,
You relive the spirit from the agony of rebirth,
So that may it return to you, the great eternal being. Thus ends the hymn to the great father,
Whose abode is our true home,
May he guide us in this life and the next,
That is my wish to the good lord.***
When I started on this rusty old path,
I knew not where my heart would reside,
Where I would find my Forever. It was too hard, to think of forever,
Fear of death was ever so evident,
That, I lost my power to sleep.I am journeying still, a bit by bit,
But back then I had grown stagnant;
Fear eats away the soul. But what is it? The thing we think to be the end?
But isn't it we, who say,
That the soul has no begining or end?Maybe it all wouldn't have been possible,
Had someone not entered my dreams and thoughts,
On that salient birthday. It would take me a lot of time,
To understand the truest essence of life,
But I have lost my fear.I understand that I cannot stop,
What is inveitable,
I am no goddess that I can stop the end.But what can do is hope for liberation,
To pray and wish that may my god take me to heaven,
I wish no longer to be bounded.
Freedom is what I love. That is what Anubis is,
The wish for liberation,
That is what Anubis is,
The forever of us all.***
Note; Anubis or Inpu, Anpu in Ancient Egyptian religion. Usually he is depicted as a canine or a man with a canine head. Archeologists have identified Anubis's sacred animal as an Egyptian canid, the African golden wolf. The African wolf was formerly called the "African golden jackal", until a 2015 genetic analysis updated the taxonomy and the common name for the species. As a result, Anubis is often referred to as having a "jackal" head, but this "jackal" is now more properly called a "wolf". He was the god of death, mummification, embalming, the afterlife, cemeteries, tombs, the Underworld.
Personally, he is close to my heart, I suppose. Because truth to be told, I have similarities with Anubis ( er, Not in case of power or anything. Plus I am not 'death-addicted'. Our similarities are more on personality and background.) (Yes, it's a clue about my own life)
