"I want that pest and her dog gone!" The young woman shouted impatiently.

"You hear my granddaughter, I want those filthy things gone by tonight. I have some important business to do tomorrow so I hope you will be done tonight. Nothing more, nothing less." This time it was an old woman in a fancy dress who spoke.

"Yes, madam. Rest assured that my men will take care of your little problem." A man assured the two women.

Kinakailangan nila ng pera kaya napakagandang oportunidad nito para sa lalaki. Minsan na kasing pumalpak ang plano nito sa illegal na pagbebenta ng mythical beast. Now it's his time to have some easy but big amount of money.

A little girl and one dumb mutt is easy to kill with not much consequences or any hitches, especially if the said girl is an orphan. So attacking and ending one is an easy job, shouldn't it?

Spring didn't know how much time have passed since she started her panic induced stupor. Snow being the ever caring familiar that he is takes care of her without much fuss.

That night after they were thrown out from the old stable, the two of them lay on the hard cold floor of the cave with Spring cocooned in Snow's warm fur.

"I need to get myself together. Meron pa akong trabaho bukas sa shop ni Mr. Hwang." Spring reminded herself out loud.

'Young one, you should just save your energy for now. No one expect you to be in your good condition every single day, especially not after what happened today.' Snow reminded her with a soft tone in his voice.

"But—" She tried to reason out.

'No buts, young lady. Focus on calming down for now. I can feel your magic's going haywire even with your supressor charm.' Her familiar said as he look at her with his sharp eyes.

'For a packmate, a wolf would do anything to provide, protect and care for them. You are my bonded young one, imagine a bond of a packmate and amplified that a couple more times since our magic and soul are connected into each other.' Snow reminded the young wizard.

'Now sleep. You need the all the rest Spring.'

It was the first time the familiar used her name to acknowledge her and for some reason Spring now see how serious Snow is. So she relented and finally closed her eyes to rest.

Instead of loud knocking noise, this time it was a sharp pain that woken Spring up.

She opened her eyes to be only welcomed by darkness that it took her a couple of minutes to adjust her eyes.

Spring's eyes glowed a bright green that made her sight a lot better than a normal human. When she's finally conscious enough, it was Snow's missing figure that alarmed her immediately.

'Snow! Where are you?' Spring tried to communicate with her familiar through their bond. But no sound came, and her question was answered with silence.

'No, not you too Snow. I need you. Please, Snow where are you?' She knows she's once again panicking and that her voice is filled with desperation. But she didn't want to lose hope since she can still feel their bonded connection.

With still no answer, Spring tried to track her familiar's whereabouts using her mind map. She can feel Snow's traveling away from her and she can also see that he was being captured by a couple of unfamiliar gruff men.
