Chapter 13

"Spring! Snow! Good morning!" It was the usual cheerful greeting of Autumn that caught the attention of the two.

Spring nod in answer while the wolf in his bonded arms just grunt in greeting. The two are definitely not a morning person or being.

"I'm not used to being awake on a sunday morning." Spring said as Autumn whisked her away into the kitchen.

Since Zan is not always around, Spring tends to have breakfast at Mr. Hwang's. Autumn like it too much to even complain. And most of the time ay busy rin si Mr. Hwang, so having someone to eat with and talk in the morning is really a good thing for Autumn.

It's honestly one of the reason why both the girls immediately hit it off and befriended each other.

After their breakfast, as the two quietly sip their own tea and coffee, Autumn pull out a stack of paper and put it in front of the other girl.

"I borrow that at my father's office. It's his letter of request for potions and other charm that needed specific mastery that cannot be found on simple shops or apothecary." Autumn explained. Snow was intrigued so he momentarily peek at the paper and if a wolf can frown, Snow is definitely frowning.

'That's not a good sign.' The familiar said to both the girls.

"Potions for boost in energy and magic?" Spring mused as she study the papers in front of her.

"It's going to be a new moon soon and anyone knows that imbalance in magic in that particular day of the month only results to mishap and even chaos." Autumn inform the two.

"What are you thinking Autumn?" The glistening dark green color of Spring's eyes are looking at Autumn and the girl can't help but to sigh.

"We all need to be careful. Remember the rude costumer last week? I don't think that's a coincidence." Autumn lamented.

"Bad things?" Spring simply ask. Knowing Autumn, she probably already figure out what scenarios may happen. Despite the cheerful and hyper personality, Autumn is observant and an intelligent person.

"Very bad things. Something's not right with the air."

The two once again quietly sips at their own beverages as they contemplate about different things. About their own power, ability and magic. About the weird things happening in their town.

After they finished their drink, the two started preparing for their trip. It was Spring's first time going around the town so she's a little nervous and a lot excited.

When they're finally ready, the three of them including Snow in his small form gather at the door of Mr. Hwang's shop.

"We can only travel by this door for once, after we set foot outside this door I'm going to get in charge of our transportation." Autumn informed the other two.

"See this sigil?" The door at Mr. Hwang's shop is a combination of glass and wood. The upper part is made of colorful glass while the lower half is made of dark wood. If you look closely, you would notice a round sigil carved at the wood.

"It's a permanent transportation sigil. My mother invented and carved the sigil herself." Autumn said proudly and Spring can't help but to be in awe. She was good with plants, potion and hunting but not with charms. Her sigil and chanting are debatable, not because it's weak or useless but because most of the time no one can figure out what her sigil means.

And seeing a permanent and a transportation sigil at that is really something else for her.

"This is so wonderful. I never get the chance to ask about the transport thing but knowing it as a sigil is really shocking. How does it never run out of magic though?" Spring being the curious one asked.

"It was mostly me who's feeding it magic and energy but with you around now, I know you're also unconsciously contributing to it's stored energy." She look at the other girl shock and confused. Autumn laughed at Spring's face.

"You're literally feeding the garden full of raw magic, how can you not notice that much?" Spring answered with a shrug. Being comfortable with Autumn and at the shop makes her a little sloppy with her awareness.

"Anyway, let's go!" Autumn said gleefully as she opened the door.

They were welcomed by an empty road but the bustling noise of the nearby market place is very noticeable.

"Where are we?" Is the first thing Spring asked.

"South Water's Seaside Port." Autumn answered with a grin.

"I was expecting snow and cold." Spring pouted as Autumn laughed at her.

"That's actually the one near the Central Palace, they have very cold and harsh temperature. But we're actually at the border of the town so it's different here." The other girl as they started to walk towards the noise they can hear.

"You know what's the most amazing thing you can find here?" Autumn said as she they arrive at the bustling market place.

Before the other two can even react they were welcomed by the sight of people with peculiar looks.

"Since we were in the seaside and barter happen all day and night. This place is actually full of foreign people and other species." Autumn said as she smile widely.

With that in mind, the group of three started their journey as they look and stop by different shops.

Spring being a child who spent her whole life in their small community in East Earth is fascinated with everything. From different fabrics to different foods. The market is full of different varieties of everything.

After a few more minutes of watching at everything in the market, their little group started to do what they originally planned. Shopping for ingredients and books that's not available in their shop.

"I have a brilliant idea!" Autumn exclaimed as she look at the list of things they should buy that the two of them made.

"You should inspect everything we buy Spring. I actually have no idea what I'm doing. I have a few shops that my family frequent but I trust you Spring to have better judgment than me." Spring only smiled as an answer as they stop at a few shop.

It was unexpectedly fun for Spring. They used to have their own farm and most of the things they need are already available. So buying and shopping for things for the shop is really an interesting thing for Spring.

After buying most of the items they needed, they decided to continue their shopping at another market place.

"It's unfortunately not available around here since these things can only go directly and only accessible at the Central Palace." As Autumn explained.

The three started to walk but instead of going back to the alley where they come from they instead walk towards the forest. The air around them feels hot, especially for Spring since she's wearing her usual get up that consists of a dress that falls just under her knee and a cape with a hood that swallows Spring small frame.

"I actually wanted to try something." Autumn said as they walk deeper into the woods.

"I have an ability to manipulate my movements and of other people as one of my other lovely qualities. I always use it if I travel around. I never really tried it with another person but since we have Snow here, a mythical beast. I think it's going to be fun." She smiled so wide she almost looks manic.

She then explained her plan to her other companions Snow reluctantly agreed since he haven't run in his other form for a long while. Spring is just honestly curious.

Autumn's plan consists of Snow transforming into his larger form. Both her and Spring will sit at the back of the said familiar, the items they bought will be also tied to Snow. Then Autumn will give Snow a boost in his movement so they can travel in a very fast way.

They find their way to the Central Place which normally will took about a couple of hours from the port but instead they got at their desired destination after around 15 minutes.
