Chapter 9

Y/n pov~
Christmas break had just started had just started. Most people had left and went home. I couldn't wait for Christmas, I had the best thing planned for Draco and I. Since it was Christmas Eve I wanted to do something special for Draco, but Draco insisted he picked what we did since I was picking what we did tomorrow.

I got ready and went out to the common room. I saw Draco sitting outside with a few other people I didn't know. It was around 3:00pm so most of the people who stayed at Hogwarts were hanging out in their common rooms. Draco walked over, he had a black bag over his shoulders.

He held my hand and walked me outside. We walked over by the black lake. The snow was thick and hard to walk in. There a cold yet subtle winter gusts that made me shiver. We made it to the black lake which was fully frozen. Draco dropped the bag and pulled out ice skates.

Draco made me sit down on a rock while he helped me put the skates on. Then he put on his skates. He held my hand and we walked on to the ice.

We both balanced on the ice and began to skate. It was peaceful. The sound of the ice skates gliding against the ice. Draco wasn't the best at ice skating himself. We skated until sundown. Then when we went outside and had some Christmas cookies. It was so perfect.

Draco took me to his room. I'd never been in his room before. It was very luxurious and dark. It was like a man cave. I sat down on his bed as Draco put the skates away in his cabinet. Draco's room smelt like him but just more stronger.

We headed to the Main Hall for dinner. Most of the tables were empty. The food was better than usual. We finished eating and we're heading to the common room when Draco stopped and said "You know let's go to the astronomy tower." He leaded me to the astronomy tower. When reached the tower, the room was very cold. We looked out of the telescope and looked at the stars. We had a mini competition of who could name more stars.

Draco looked at his watch to see the time was 11:58pm. It was almost Christmas.
I looked at Draco and he looked back. I did the first thing that came to my mind. I gave him a warm hug. I rested my head on his chest, his heartbeat was so calming.
"It's midnight," Draco whispers.
I pull out of the hug and say "Merry Christmas Draco."
He kissed me and we both smiled.
"I don't know what you have planned for tomo but I can already tell it's going to be the best Christmas ever," Draco told me with his smirked.
He was right it was going to be a wonderful Christmas.

Draco went by the stairs and came back with a glasses of butterbeer. They weren't warm still but it was the thought that count. We drank the butterbeer as we talked about how terrible we both are at skating.
"Why didn't you go spend Christmas with the Weasleys? Weren't they mad you ditched them?" He asked.
"They couldn't get mad at me because I wanted to spend Christmas with my boyfriend!" I said with laugh. Then realized what I said. Although Draco and I liked each other we hadn't put a label on it. He wasn't officially my boyfriend. Draco looked at me and smirked.
"It was about time we put a label on it don't you think?" He said as my face turned pink.
"I like when you call me that, I feel honoured to be your boyfriend," he said in a deep voice.

It had only been an hour into Christmas and my Christmas wish had already came true.

Draco's pov~
Christmas morning was never something exciting for me. Although this Christmas was special. I had y/n with me. Y/n had instructed me to wake up early. She said her surprise required us to be ready by 8 in the morning.

I got ready and and walked out the door and headed to y/n's room. While I walked to her room I fiddled with a box in my pocket, a very important box. I knocked on her door, she opened almost immediately. She looked beautiful.

"So why did I have to wake up so early exactly?" I asked. She didn't answer instead he grabbed her purse and came out into the hallway and closed her dorm door.
"Come on we will be late," she called tugging my arm towards the common room door. She took me outside and out the front doors. She wouldn't tell me where we were going. We kept walking and we came to the the train station. There was the Hogwarts train waiting for us.
"Come on," y/n said as she pointed me to get on the train. We got on the train, which was completely empty. We sat down in a compartment. I sat right in front of her so I could see her face. Then suddenly the train began to move.

"Where are we going?" I ask in a harsh tone.
"London of course," she answered.
I look out the window to see the train moving really fast, much much faster than usual.
"Why is the train moving so fast?" I question.
"We are on a time crunch, we have to get to London in an hour. If the train went at its usual speed it would take us much longer."
I looked at her and said "I have a Christmas gift for you."
I pulled the box from my pocket and handed it to her. It was a black velvet box with a black bow on top. She untied the box and gently opened the box. Her eyes sparkle as she saw what was inside. It was a golden necklace with a emerald jewel pendant.

I got up from my seat and sat down beside her, took the box from her hand and pulled out the necklace. I opened the necklace and place it on her and closed it. It looked beautiful on her. She turned around and faced me.
"This must have been really expensive I can't accept this," she exclaims.

I put my fingers on her lip and told her to shh. I then kissed the top of her head and smiled.
"I have something for you too!" She said with a smirk. She reached into her purse and pulled out a ring box.
"I know you love me but no need to propose right now," I said sarcastically.
She rolled her eyes and said. "I saw this at a store while I was at hogsmeade's a couple weeks ago. I thought out might like it."

I took the box from her hand and opened it. Inside was and thick metal ring. On the ring was a snake curled around the letter D. I took the ring out the box and put it on my finger.

"So you like it?" She asked.
I nodded "I love it."

I gave her a hug and a kiss, suddenly the train came to a stop.
