Y/n pov~
Due to the new changes and students at Hogwarts, I no longer had a room to myself. Thanks to professor Snape I was stuck sharing a room with Draco. I was happy I didn't have to share with anyone other than Draco but I definitely was going to miss having my own space. The room was a bit bigger than my one last year. Draco definitely wasn't a fan of it.
About a week after school started; I opened my trunk and started to unpack. There was a small closet with just enough room for both of our clothes. I hated unpacking. I gently hanged and folded my clothes leaving just enough space for Draco to do the same. The vanishing Cabinet was stressing us both out. Draco wasn't acting himself. He always seemed to be mad and didn't talk as much. The tiniest things would piss him off and make him mad.
I sat on the bed and got out my school work. I was taking more classes this year so I could learn a bit more. I wanted to ask Hermione for help but I knew if I talked to her to much I might accidentally spill something. Draco had been out with his friends for a while. Fall was coming early this year, the leaves were already changing colour as they prepared to fall off slowly. Fall time was mesmerizing, pumpkins, sweater weather everything about it seemed so comforting. As much as I wanted to run outside and hang out with Hermione I couldn't, I had way to much work.
Draco walked in shortly after I finished my potions work and started defence against the dark arts. He looked so vulnerable. "Hey," I said, trying to get his attention. He took off his fall coat and shoved it into the newly organized closet making it a mess again. "Can you hang up properly please," I ask nicely. He ignores me. I rolled my eyes and continued to write. "You don't have to be so rude you know," Draco calls. "I pick my head up and stare straight at him. "I'm being rude? I'm not the one who's been walking around with attitude for a week straight! I've also not been ignoring my girlfriend, for a mater of fact I've been trying to have a normal conversation with you but your the one who won't answer!" I snap back. He didn't dare look me in the face for a good 5 minutes. I pretended to forget he wasn't there and kept working.
Once he had calmed down he came and sat on my bed. I could hear him loosen his tie thinking it would get me to look up. I didn't dare look up, he needed to learn his lesson. He moved closer to me. He put his arm around me, I acted as if I couldn't feel he had. I packed up my work and shoved it in the bag next to me. As I prepare to get off the bed Draco puts his arms around my stomach pulling me closer to him. I gave in and surrendered myself to him. "I'm sorry," Draco says pulling me closer. "Sure you are," I say sarcastically. He squeezed me tighter. "I'll make it up to you," he says. I pull away from his arms and roll my eyes and start to walk away.
"Let's go out for dinner somewhere good?" He asks. "No," I call. "What about a nice walk around the castle?" He asks again. "No," I say a bit louder. "Come on what about stargazing at the astronomy tower?" He says hopelessly. "No! Get a taste of your medicine!" I call and walk out the door. I was mad, I was doing so much for him yet he was acting so rude. If only he knew what the dark lord had also asked me to do.
Draco pov~
She slams the door and walks out leaving me alone in the room. Was I really being that rude? I felt bad. I didn't mean for her to think I was being distant I just had a lot going on. I had to make it up to her. There was no way she was going to come anywhere with me. So I had to think outside the box. I get up and walk to to library where I knew I would meet someone. I walked to the library making sure I didn't run into y/n. The only thing I hated about this idea was I had to be nice to an old enemy.
I walked in the library to see just who I wanted to see. Hermione. There was was sitting at the table trying to read 5 books at once. I walk over and sit down beside her. She looks at me and rolls her eyes and gets up. "Wait! Stop I need to talk to u," I whisper. She turns around and looks at me with the most fake smile I've ever seen. "What!" She calls. She sits down again and avoids eye contact. I tap my finger against the table trying to get her to look over. "I need your help." I say quietly expecting her to snap at me. "Why would I help you!?" She says. "Listen your the only one I know who can help me, please I really need your help." I say trying to be really nice. She looked surprised I was being nice, I was surprised myself.
"What do you need help with, I am NOT doing ANY school work for you," she says. "I need you to help y/n to come to the forbidden forest tomorrow at 3, she can't know she's going to meet me," I reply. "Now why would I help you again?" She asks eyeing me. I roll my eyes and smirk at her. I stare at her making her feel uncomfortable. "Fine! I'll do it, she will be there tomorrow at 3," she says trying to get rid of me. "Good, I knew I could count on you," I say, I give her a little wink as I walk out of the library.
I walk out of the library feeling really good and made my way to the dorm. Y/n was already inside doing her work again. She didn't even look up. I didn't like the taste of my medicine at all, it was so bitter. I sat down on my bed and admired her from a far. I did my work and tried to make it look like I didn't care. I felt unsteady but I knew after tomorrow we would back to normal.
