18. So it goes...

Taylor checked her phone the next morning to see what they were writing about last night.
*TAYLOR SWIFT RUNNING FOR HER LIFE!*

* JOE ALWYN CATCHES UP TO HER ONCE AGAIN*
*TAYLOR RUNS FROM JOE*
*TAYLOR ATTACKED AGAIN!*

She felt so guilty for putting joe in this position again .
"Baby!"
"Yeah?"
"I need to do an interview to clear this all up"
"Are you crazy? Your not ready!"
"I know but I can't let them keep blaming you!"
"Ok make sure it's from someone you trust"

She sat backstage waiting to go on

"Ok miss we're ready for you"
She walked up the steps to a chair next to James cordon who she trusted to not push her
"Hi everyone" she smiled politely
They started off with small talk before getting to the real topic

Joe sat down next to her
"ok so what is it that you came to talk to us about?"
"I wanted to clear up what's been going on in my life for the past year or so."
"Ok whenever your ready."
She wouldn't ever be ready but she had to do it for Joe
"So as the tabloids have been reporting I was in fact in hospital twice this year. The first time was after my drink was spiked at a bar and the second was after I was attacked."
"Ok we will start with the first instance tell us what happened."
She wanted to skip over the part where she was drunk and in her pyjamas in the middle of the night.
"I woke up in the night needing to clear my head so I went for a walk, I went into a bar to have a quick drink before I went home. Which was so so stupid of me. Before I got too bad I called joe to come get me, he had no idea I'd even left and was super worried."
"Ok joe what happened next?"
"I had told her to find some staff to get her to the back but she was really out of it and w.. when I arrived she was.. under a guy crying."
A few people gasped and he looked over at Taylor, she was hiding it well but he could see how embarrassed and upset she was.
"She collapsed in the car and I took her too the hospital."
"Ok now let's clear up the second event which seemed more questionable."
"I went to my ex boyfriend's house to collect my stuff. He wasn't meant to even be home and I brought Selena with me."
"Selena Gomez?"
"Yeah I went inside and saw him dru-"
She broke down crying, this was too much.
"It's fine take your time."
"He.....h..he."
"Baby it's ok do you want me to talk?" Joe whispered
"Yes"
"Ok, he attacked her. He smashed bottles over her head, threw her against the cabinet, chocked her and kicked her repeatedly." He could hardly get the words out knowing how painful of an experience it was for both of them.
"A.. and he forced himself on her." He mumbled
More gasps from the live audience
"Selena heard her screaming and called the police. When she found her she was unconscious on the floor surrounded by glass and blood."
"Her heart stopped twice."
"I'm so sorry Taylor" James looked over at her
"And I just need to explain the gunshots" joe added as he wanted to get Taylor off the stage as soon as possible
"One of her stalkers broke in and threatened her. She called me when she heard him downstairs and told me how much she loved me, it was the hardest conversation I've ever had. She was only wearing my t-shirt and he thought she was his wife and was cheating, he started shouting at her and tried to make her take it off. The police arrived and he fired a shot at her. He barely missed."
"Thank you so much for coming on here tonight guys everyone here is hoping for your safety in the future."
James put one arm in her shoulder and she flinched just before the cameras stopped filming.

The second she god into the dressing room she fell on the floor. Everything was spinning and she couldn't breath.
"Baby I'm so so proud of you!"
"Hey.. are you ok!"
"I...I.."
"Can someone help please she needs a glass of water" he called out
A small stage runner came up to them and her eyes widened when she. Saw Taylor
"I'll go get help-"
"No stop just get water she doesn't need anyone crowding her"
"Joe-"
"Shush it's ok baby"
