Another squeal prefaced the loud voices of more teens. Jeramiah reached up and pulled his hood over his head, sheilding both me and his face from sight.

No one sat next to Jeramiah, or even acknowledged him. After the bus' doors closed for the last time, and the vehicle started moving, Jeramiah brought his feet up and shifted so he was laying on the seat. I slid farther into his hood, laying in it like a hammock. His clothes smelled like cigarettes.

I bit my lip.

"Yo, half face, you still jerking off over there?" Some guy in the next seat jeered.

"Don't you know you're not s'posed ta do that in Chem?"

There was a silence, and I peered out of my hammock to see one of the boys looking at the other.

"Lame dude, lame."

"Oh like what you said was any more clever."

They start bickering.
Wow...
Agreed.

Warm water hit me in the head, and I look at the source. A wet trail leading to Jeramiah's eye brought my heart to the melting point.

Half face, that's what they called him.

I knew names where harsh, no matter what people said words hurt the most. Bruises fade quicker than memories. Being called something because of how you looked hurt, being called that because of something you can't change, it had to be even worse.
Whale...Buttboat...Tubberfish...
Don't forget the classic fatty and Mrs. Tubbs.
I wish I could.

I hugged the side of his face awkwardly.

I had no words, I never seemed to when I needed them most.

He remained silent, the one tear the only to fall.

The teens refrained from talking to him for the rest of him being on the bus. He got off at a road, no houses in sight.

"I'm weak." He mumbled.

"No, you aren't."

"It shouldn't bother me anymore, they've done this for the past three years."

"I still get bothered by it, and its been seven..."

He stayed silent.

"You get off here every day?"

He seemed grateful for the change of subject. "Yeah."

"And walk?"

"Yeah."

"In winter?"

"Yep." I could hear his tone become lighter.

"Oh my gosh, how? Every flipping day? My legs hurt at the thought of it." They seriously did, there still wasn't a building in sight and we've already been walking for about five minutes.

My exasperated statement made him laugh. Which made me smile.

"Oh my gosh where do you live?"

"It's a while away."

"Well then, I'm sleeping. Peace out."

I slid into the back of his hood and stretched out.

"Have fun."

I yawned. "Don't worry I will. Just don't forget 'bout me."

I closed my eyes.

"OK, buenas noches mi amiga."

"Have a nice walk my taxi." I murmer.

"So I'm a taxi then?" He said in mock offense.

"Oh, also mi amigo."

"Nice to know."

Vote if you likes and me loves you! :3
Also for those who don't know any Spanish here's a translation.

"OK, good night my friend."
Blah blah blah stuff that's in English already.

"Oh, also my friend "
More stuff in English.
OK, bye.
