He blinked, then knelt down.
"You OK?"
"Yeah, nothings broken." I rub my arms.
"Do you want back up?"
My mouth opened in response before I even had time to think of a response. I stammer a yes, then wait for him to grab me.
Instead, he laid his hand on the ground, palm up, waiting for me to step on.
Oh, that works.I walk over to the fleshy platform awaiting me. Looking up at his eyes, then placing my palms on his fingers and crawling on. His fingers curl up behind me.
Once again I'm laying in a palm, pathetically small in comparison to even one of the digits attached. I stare at his face as he slowly lifts his hand. His eyes locked on me, observing my reactions.
So...
So...what?
So...I don't know why I said so.
Neither do I.
This is nice, I guess, being stared at by a giant.
He's not staring.
Yes, he is.
Just to see if he scares you.
Probably, I guess.
Mentally rolling my eyes...
His eyes are pretty.
Huh?
They change color a lot, first they were yellow, then brown, now they're green.
That means they're considered hazel.
They're still pretty.
Him being a guy, I don't think he'd appreciate being called pretty...
I'm not gonna tell him.
OK.We stop moving, and I tear my gaze away from his eyes to look at the stilled hand waiting for my departure. The porous flesh, with ceases and lines, heat rising from the skin. Long fingers laid flat against the sheet on the bed. In front of me laid a vast surface, a white wastland of a bed. Suddenly, I was scared to get off.
He noticed my hesitation, or appeared to anyway.
"Allie, you sure you're okay?" His tone was becoming more aware, if I kept him up longer he probably wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.
"Yeah." My voice went up a pitch, like it does when I'm nervous, or lying.
"Mhm."
"Honest, just go back to sleep, it's too early for you to get up "
He looked over at the clock. "I'm fine, you're not." His hand lifted up again, turning with his body as he sat down on the mattress.
"Are you OK?"
I looked up at him, the light stubble that was forming on his chin. Mouth set in a firm line. His eyes were lightening to their yellow-gold color. Honestly, he wasn't bad looking. Not a typical hottie, but, interesting, unique.
I sighed. Raising my shoulders into a shrug. At this point, I really didn't know.
"May I ask what made you cry earlier?" He said, tentatively.
I gnawed my lower lip.
"I...don't know how I got here, and...I miss home." I paused, feeling the frustration and anger and confusion.
"I woke up in someone's room, in the dark, I'm scared of the dark, and the first thing I saw when the light came on...was...a....giant." My breath left me, and I looked up at the patient face above me.
"That was the first guy who found me. The one that...you know. And I didn't realize that I didn't know how I got here until...then. I don't know where I am, or how I got here, or what to do..." I trailed off into a hopeless silence.
"So, at home, you're normal sized, not...less than three inches tall? And you just woke up here?"
I nod.
"Did you notice anything unusual when you went to bed that night?"
Its not like my memory is the best, all I remember was being too lazy and tired to shower, and slipping under the sheets.
"Not that I remember..."
I was getting uncomfortable, the...largeness of him, and the smallness of me...looking around me, I felt the weight of full realization fall on my shoulders.
I was less than three inches tall to him. To his world. And I was stuck here, possibly forever. I look at my legs.
That's gonna be some serious leg hair...
That's the worst of your worries?
No, I'm going to need different clothes, and some way to shower, and...oh, god.
What?
That stuff.
Oh...that's going to be an issue...
Ya think?
And, oh man I hope I get home."Um, Jerra?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think I could...maybe take a...bath?"
His eyebrows raised, and he opened his mouth, then shaped his lips into an o.
His ears turned red.
"Uh...yeah..." His lower lip was pulled between his teeth as he looked in the direction of the door. "Do you want a cup...or...something?"
"You're the one that lives here, I trust you can find...something."
"Yeah...uh...I'll go...find...something."
He stood up abruptly, curling his fingers up around me just in time to keep me from falling, again.
"Do you want to come with-"
"Yes."
He looked up and started toward the door.
I wasn't prepared for what was behind it.
Okay, I need to do homework so I'm gonna stop it here (plus, this seems really long) vote if you like and love yous :)
