Chapter 14

Luke's POV

So it's been months now since we have adopted Lucas, and it's almost our year annivarsary. I think that I might propose to her but I'm going to get the guys and Lucas's thoughts about it first. When Kat left to go shopping I thought that was the perfect time to ask them about it. "Hey I need to ask you guys something." I said as I walked into Calum and Michael's room. "Yeah' what do you need?" Calum said. "Well I wanted to ask you what you thought if I asked Kat to marry me." "Well I like that idea. I mean you already have a kid so.." Calum said while Michael just sat there not saying anything. "Michael what do you think about it?" I said. "Oh um yeah you should. You guys are cute together." He said. I said my okay's and left their room and went to Ashton and Amber's room.

"Hey guys can I ask you something?" I said just like when I went to Calum and Michael's room. "Yeah" They both said at the same time. "Okay so I want to ask Kat to marry me but I wanted your opinions." They both said yeah it was a good idea, then I left their room and started to head to Lucas's room. I walked in and as normal he was playing Fifa. I knocked on the door and he paused it, and asked "What's up?" he said all perkie like. "Well I wanted to know your thoughts about if I asked mom to marry me?" I said and his face lit up as soon as I said marry. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" He sad jumping and running around the room as I laughted. "When are you going to ask her?" He said trying to calm down. "I thought about you me and her going to a reatraunt tonight and I ask her. "Okay." He said then went back to playing Fifa.

A few hours later Kat came back with a girl I've never seen before. "Hey babe who's this." I said pointing to the other girl. "Oh sorry this is my friend Aubrey from San Diago. We use to be really close untill I had to move." She said. "Oh okay. Well I'm Luke." I said and the others must have heard because they all came out of their rooms except for Ashon. "Hey I'm Calum." Calum said and I could tell he was eyeing her. "Michael." He said. "AND I'M ASHTON!!" Ashton said yelling from the bathroom. We all laughed untill he came out and Amber came out of their room. "Im Amber." She said.

"Hey wear something pretty, you me and Lucas are going out ot eat tonight." I said. "Okay i got this really cute dress today so I'll wear that." she said. "Come on Kat we are going to be late." I said from downstairs. "Okay I'm comming. Chill" She said as she came downstairs holding Lucas's hand. "Are we ready?" I said with a big smile on my face. "Yes we are. Aren't we mummy?" Lucas said with a big grin on his face also.

We arrived at the restaurant and everything was set up just the way I wanted it to be. "Reservation for Hemmings" I said to the man up front. "Oh Mr. Hemmings right this way." he said gesturing us his way. We followed him to the top to see candles lit all around the table and one table for 3 right in the center of it all. We finished eating and it was time. Time to see if my whole life will change. Time to have someone for the rest of my life. Time to ask her to marry me. I walked over to her and got down on one knee. She started to cry as soon as I got knelt down. "Kat I've loved you since I met you on your first day of high school. I can't think of something else that could bring us together than Lucas and I want us to be a real family so will you do the honor in marrying me?" I said trying not to cry but could feel it coming. "Yes a million times yes I will" When she said that all of my worries were gone. I placed the ring on her finger and we headed out to the car. When we got home he darted off to the guest room to see Aubrey and show her, her ring.

Kat's POV

I darted off to the guest room to show Aubrey my ring but when I got in there she wasn't there so I went to see if the guys knew where she was. I went into Calum's room to see her and Calum making out on his bed. "*cough *cough" She turned around and when she saw it was me her face got red. "Look he proposed" I said as I showed her the ring. "Omg it's so pretty." she said. We walked out of his room and went to the guest room to talk. "So are you and Calum like a thing now?" I said making her blush again. "umm I really don't know." she said and we both laughed. "Okay then" I said then left going to show Michael since he was really the only one out of the band besides Calum that I talked to a lot. I walked back into Calum and his room and told Calum that Aubrey wanted him but I just told him that so he would leave. After he left I ran over to him and jumped onto the bed and held out my hand. "congratulations" he said but didn't seem excited. "what's wrong?" I said looking at him and all at once he kissed me and I didn't push him away. I finally push him off and said I can't do this not to Luke at least. Then walked out of his room.

*one week later*
The boys have been called in a lot for the past week to go and record. I haven't talked to Micheal since the whole kissing incident. He's been staying in his room half of the time and only comes out for food. Me and Aubrey have been talking a lot about her and Calum and Luke's and mine wedding.

The boys just got home. Calum and Luke got me and Aubrey and took us to the backyard with their guitars. "what's all this about?" Aubrey said. "Well this is our new song. We've been recording it this past week. "okay what's it called?"I said. "Amnesia" Luke said and they started to play.

I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted
I thought about our last kiss, how it felt the way you tasted
And even though your friends tell me you're doing fine

Are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you?
When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you?

Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?

They finished and it was so good. "who wrote it?" I asked. "Actually Michael wrote this one" Luke said and I instantly knew it was about me. "Luke I have to tell you something important"
