Nothing surprised him anymore. Or so Raven thought. Everything encountered since that fateful day he came home from his vacation trip caused him to gradually lose the capacity to be surprised. This encounter however broke that. At first, he figured that the box contained a weapon of untold capacity. Upon the detection of vitals in it, he figured it was an undead creature. The last he expected to see was a young woman. She stands at 5'4 and by the looks of it, has copper skin, slightly wavy brown hair and some subtle facial freckles. She wore a yellow robe with golden adornments and held a golden scepter like object. The scepter was at least 36 inches with ancient markings. In its head sat a carved piece of what looked like a globe of pure amber. Which when the light hit almost seemed to glow like the sun.
<She's around your age bracket.> said Thanatos. <And yet she may be older than all of us.>
<She's beautiful.> said Raven.
<Are you detecting that feeling?> Thanatos asked.
<Yeah. It's soothing. Comforting. It's like a warm blanket.> said Raven.
<Exactly.> Thanatos remarked. <You're flustered.>
<What makes you think so?> asked Raven.
<You're not as focused and coherent as usual.> said Thanatos. <But you're right. Her aura has such an odd calming effect.>
<Told you.> said Raven. <I saw similar writings in one of Al's drives. But he didn't specify what ancient civilization used them. They didn't match any hieroglyphs, nor any Cuneiform characters, nor anything in Sanskrit. Not even Celtic.>
<It's something more ancient than that. Something forgotten.> said Thanatos.
<I wouldn't say forgotten.> Raven remarked.
<Lost would be more appropriate.> Thanatos replied.
"How's she doing Amara?" Raven asked.
"She's alive. That's for sure." said Amara. "Her vitals are normal. She's actually just sleeping."
"How long do you think she's been here?" asked Neve.
"Who knows? This sarcophagus has been opened a bunch of times. So she may have been awake before" said Raven. "Wait a second."
Raven took a closer examination at the an item at her side. It was an old leatherbound book. He reached in to touch it before the unthinkable happened. The young woman stirred and slowly opened her eyes. And upon opening, Raven locked his eyes to hers. The woman locked her eyes into the young polynesian man in black. She cautiously started to sit up.
"Where am I? What year is it?" asked the young woman to everyone's amazement.
"You speak English?" asked Raven.
"I've learned it a long time ago. Can anyone tell me what is happening?" asked the woman. "What year is it?"
"It's 2017." said Raven.
"Am I still in the Americas? I was last sealed away in Guatemala. Where am I now?" asked the young woman as she tried to get up.
"Easy now." said Raven. "And yes you are. We're in the southern region of Guatemala to be precise."
"I was asleep for more than half a century this time." said the woman.
<You're thinking that her accent is a bit anachronistic.> said Thanatos.
<She's been in there a long time. It's kind of understandable.> said Raven.
"Please allow us to assist you." said Amara as she approached and helped her up. "Easy now. Take your time."
