Chapter 8

You can tell everyone
Addison POV

Today was the day of the funeral. Brianna offered to come with me and I agreed knowing that her comfort would be much appreciated. I look at myself in the mirror and I sigh. I was dressed in black dress with black shoes and I didn't even bother with make up. There was a knock on my door and I turn my head to see my mom standing there also dressed in a black dress. She gives me a slight smile and I nod my head. We both walk out and into the kitchen where my dad and brothers were all dressed in a black and white suit.

"Ready?" My dad asks and I look at him.
"No" I say and he sighs. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to Dixie officially. My brothers come towards me and hug me and I hug them back. We all head out and after a very quiet drive we arrive at the cemetery where I see chairs set up for everyone and a few people were already there. I notice Brianna and she sees me too and comes towards me.
"Hey Addison" she says and I hug her and she hugs me back.
"Hi" I say and pull away from her.

"Who brought you here?" I ask.
"Oh my sister" I nod my head.
"Addison" I hear Mae say and I turn around to see her in a black and white suit with her hair up in bun. Julia was with her and she was wearing a black dress. I see that they were holding hands and I smile.
"Hey" I say and she lets go of Julia's hand to hug me and I hug her back before moving to Julia and I hug her and she hugs back before I pull away.
"Hey sis" Mae says and I freeze and I look at Brianna and then at Mae.

"Hold up you guys are related?!" I say and they both laugh.
"Yeah sorry I forgot to tell you" Brianna says and I shake my head.
"You guys look a lot alike I should of known that you guys were related" Brianna and Mae smile at me. I look around and see Dixie's parents standing away from everyone else. Ms.D'amelio was crying and her husband was trying to comfort her. I feel someone grab my arm and I look at Mae.
"Can I speak to you for a moment?" She asks and I nod my head. She pulls me away from everyone else.

"Hey I've been meaning to ask you something...I read in Dixie's report that she had a sister?" Mae says and I breath in and out.
"Yeah Charli" I say.
"The report just says that she went missing, what happened to her?" She asks and I bite my bottom lip.
"Charli never went missing" I say and Mae frowns.
"Charli died alongside Avani in a car crash years ago" Maes face drops.
"Oh my word I'm sorry" she says and I shake my head.

"Dixie's parents kept it all quiet...her and Avani were both drunk and Avani lost control of the car and they went straight into a wall and the impact killed them both almost immediately" I say and wipe away a falling tear.
"Holy crap Addison I'm sorry" she says and I sniff.
"It broke Dixie so much. Her sister meant the world to her and she lost her" Mae looks down.
"Dixie's parents didn't want people to find out about it so they told everyone that she ran away with Avani and only a few people know the truth" Mae runs a hand over her face.

"She was one of my best friends...I miss her...I miss them both" I say and Mae puts her hand on my shoulder. Everyone started taking their seats and I knew it was starting.
"It's starting we should take our seats" I say and Mae nods her head and we both walk to the chairs. I look to the side and over the small field when I suddenly stop.

Dixie laughs as she grabs my hand and pulls me along.
"Dixie where are we going?" I say giggling and Dixie just smiles at me.
"Look I know we can't go out and do the whole couple thing but I still want to enjoy some time alone with you" she says and I blush. We walk further into the forest type of area.
"And I appreciate your effort but where are we going?" I say and she laughs.

"It's a surprise" I shake my head but let her lead me to where ever the hell we were going. She pulls me into a clearing where there was a swimming hole.
"Tadaaa" she says and I laugh. She lets go of my hand and starts to take her clothes off. I swallow hard at the sight. She looks over her shoulder and smirks at me.
"You coming?" She says and I nod my head and start to strip. Dixie jumps in and I soon follow her. The water was nice and cool. I come back up for air and I look at Dixie who smiles at me. She comes towards me and I wrap my arms around her neck and then wrap my legs around her waist. She holds me up by my thighs.
