Third Person POV, Unknown time. Sans' dreamscape.
Sans opened his eyes slowly. He was greeted by a plain, maroon roof. Sans closed his eyes again, wanting to get some more shut eye. Suddenly, Sans recognise the lack of two weights on his stomach and he quickly sat up and opened his eyes.
"No. No, no, no, no... This can't be happening!"
Sans was panicking. He was back at his old house. In Snowdin. In the underground. He was back in his old messy room. There was no Charizard. There were no Cubone siblings. There were no other Pokemon near him full stop. That only meant one thing to Sans.
"The kid did a reset. The kid did a flipping reset."
Sans could only lie down, act lazy and sigh. He hoped with all his soul that the kid wasn't going to be doing another genocide run because they were bored.
Suddenly, right on cue, Papyrus burst into the room, slamming the door open.
"SANS! Get up you lazybones! We're going to be late for guard duty!" The taller skeleton shouted at his brother. Sans chuckled, but the chuckle held no emotion. Papyrus didn't know that however. "Sure bro. I'm getting up."
The younger of the two skeleton brothers sighed before leaving the room and going downstairs. Sans got up before suddenly, Sans was surprised as the scene changed and suddenly, Sans was in his observation spot for the battle of the human against Papyrus.
Papyrus had his hands spread wide, showing Sans he was sparing Frisk. Sans held his breath. This would determine what sort of run the human was doing.
"SLASH!"
Sans froze in shock.
"No, no no... Not this again!"
Genocide Frisk had leapt forward and sliced Papyrus' head off like usual. The rest of the younger skeleton's body disintegrated into dust. The head fell onto the floor looking up to the human.
"I still believe in y- agh!" The head tried to say before it was squashed and reduced to dust by Frisk stepping on it. Sans felt the same pain in his soul as he saw his younger, innocent brother, killed by a megalomaniac child.
He slowly walked over to the dust to at least see if this was real. He used his fingers to feel the dust. The dust felt too real.
"No! This can't be happening! Not again!"
As Sans cried tears for his fallen brother, he failed to notice the scene around him change again.
As Sans stood up, he realised that the scene had changed again. He was greeted by the bright, golden rays of sunlight streaming into the hall.
"Judgement hall... Not this place again."
Sans heard footsteps coming from the direction of the hall's entrance. His eyes darkened. The kid was coming and he could already tell it was a genocide run the kid had done.
When he saw the kid, out of anger, Sans skipped everything else and unleashed a barrage of bones at the kid. Sans felt weak all over again. He was back to 1 defence, 1 attack, 1 HP with no other moves but his own abilities.
As the kid came to land the final and only slash to finish off the battle, Sans' eyes snapped open.
Third Person POV, 26th Feb 2019, 4:52AM. Pokemon Center, Room 12.
Sans was greeted by the white roof of the Pokemon Center room. Carefully, he shifted his body to allow himself into a sitting position. He sighed in relief when he saw the Cubone siblings still asleep on his stomach. Sans realised he was sweating and that he must have woken up from a nightmare.
