Third Person POV, 27th Feb 2019, 12:01PM. Route 7.
Sans, Charizard and Houndour were all walking on Route 7 towards Celadon City. The siblings were on top of their dad and uncle's heads as usual. It's not like the two were too lazy to walk - It was just to speed things up a little. As they were walking, Charizard gave Sans a weak glare.
"Really Sans? I was going to make up for forgetting the flight yesterday but was it really necessary reminding them?" Charizard said, mildly annoyed. Sans chuckled. "You should know not to tease me then bro," Sans retorted. Charizard gained a mischievous glint in his eye.
Oh boy. Sans was probably going to regret reminding Charizard of the phone call.
"So brother. How was that phone call?" Charizard asked with an innocent tone. "Yeah dad, who were you talking to?" Arial asked curiously. Sans shot his brother a quick glare before answering his daughter's question. "It was just a friend, Arial," Sans answered. "A friend? From where?" Roman asked. Sans thought for a bit before answering the question.
"She was from my hometown. Don't worry, we'll go visit there when we have time. It's just far away from here, that's all," Sans explained. The siblings nodded. They couldn't wait to go see their dad's hometown. Charizard pouted, his question ignored and his teasing deflected. He decided to save it for later and bring it up when Sans least expected it.
Celadon City was rapidly coming into view. From what they could see, the group was impressed by the size of it. It seemed quite a lot bigger than Saffron City. As soon as they walked through the gate from Route 7 into Celadon, it was like they were in a whole new metropolis all over again.
"This place seems to be bigger than Saffron," Sans noted. "So many people and tall buildings..." Roman said, taking in the scenery. Arial was just looking at everything around them. Houndour wasn't too fazed as he did after all live near this place for a while. "So, let's check into the Pokemon Center and then see what we can do?" Charizard suggested. Everyone nodded so the group of 5 headed over towards the Pokemon Center.
As they approached it, they saw it was a tall skyscraper. Charizard sighed. The kids caught this sigh. "Why are you sighing Charizard?" Houndour asked, confused. He thought that maybe Charizard didn't like the location of the Pokemon Center, or how it was designed. Sans chuckled. "Because he hates going into his Pokeball," Sans answered.
Charizard groaned. "Do you know how claustrophobic a Pokeball makes me feel?" Charizard asked, exasperated. "I'm not claustrophobic and yet I feel like that when I'm in a Pokeball," Charizard explained. The kids giggled at Charizard's theatrics. "Don't worry, it's just a small elevator ride up," Sans said. Charizard groaned.
Before going into the Pokemon Center, Sans put Arial and Roman down on the floor as he had to return Charizard into his Pokeball. Houndour stuck closer to Sans as Charizard was returned to his Pokeball. Roman and Arial decided to just walk for now. The group then walked in.
"Hello and welcome to the Pokemon Center! How may we help you today?" The nurse Joy said kindly as they walked in. She then cooed at the cute sight surrounding the intimidating looking trainer. Sans chuckled. "Heya nurse Joy. Can we get a room for a few days?" Sans asked. She nodded. "All trainers are welcome to Pokemon Center rooms free of charge," She reminded them kindly.
She searched for a room key. Once she found one, she gave it to Sans. "Here you go! You'll be on floor 20 in room 289," She said smiling. Sans took the keys with gratitude before he beckoned for the kids to follow him to where the elevators were. Once in, the doors shut. The kids looked interested at the design of the elevator, especially the buttons you could press.
