Cassie POV-
Beep,Beep,Beep
Hmm. Still tired. Oh well, I have to get up. There is a lot to do today. Where is that clock. Oh five am. It's too early. I can get a few more minutes...
Bang
"Wake up Cassie. I am getting in the shower. You have to be next. Gabrielle and Jaycee will be here at six so we can all start getting ready. The ceremony is in only nine hours."
Sometimes I wish I was an only child. No, that's not true. I love my sisters but they sure can be annoying. I mean it's sweet that Madalyn's one eighty has her trying to make everything easy and perfect for Gabrielle, but she really has become bossy about it.
Well, I know if I don't get up she will just come in.. probably with a bucket of water. I might as well go see if Mom made coffee. I think I am going to need some this morning.
I can't believe we made it. Even through the last couple of days. I had to keep reminding Madalyn to not screw up in front of Jules and Saud. We did it though. I think they will be surprised at the wedding. At least I didn't see anything that would make me think they suspect anything. I am glad that Jules is not coming over to get ready with us. That would be too hard.
Hmm yummy. That's good. I am not a big coffee girl but it just tastes so good this morning. I am glad I have 20 minutes I can enjoy it before Madalyn comes out to boss me around some more. We can't bicker today, not on Gabrielle's day. I want everything to be perfect just as much as she does for Gab.
"So can you believe it's today already? I know it took your father and I a little while to get behind them but I am happy that we are finally here."
That's Mom, being deep and introspective before I am even really awake. I wonder sometimes how she can be such a morning person. Both Dad and Mom always seem to just wake up and be ready for the day. None of us inherited that. Especially not Gabrielle. She is as far from a morning person as anyone I have ever met. Well when she isn't waking up with Jack anyway. Then she seems to just welcome waking up because she knows he is there with her. It's sick. Sweet, but sick.
"Yes Mom. I can believe it's today already. I know exactly how long it has taken to get here. I am just glad that after today I won't have to help hide a secret that is so important to them. Do you know how many times I wanted to scream at people commenting on their channel about them this last year?"
"Honey I am still amazed that you guys pulled it off. I am happy about it really. I know Jack thought it up with Gabrielle. And I know they did it half for a prank and the wow factor they are going to get tomorrow when it comes out. I really think that deep down... It was just something they wanted to keep to themselves. It just makes it seem more special when you consider how much of their lives they share with everyone out there. But I admit it was really nice to just be able to enjoy the build up to the wedding without having to have it be a talking point for people on the internet."
"I agree Mom. I am so glad they were able to pull it off. I am proud that I have been able to help them. I can't really believe it worked... and it didn't' stress them out at all you know? They use to be so wrapped up in their youtube things that they would stress out over everything. Now they just basically treated it as a fun thing to do. They just said, hey we will do our best and whatever happens happens. In the end we will be together and happy and that's what really matters. I think I was stressing about it more then they were for the last year."
"You love your sister and you now love Jack, Cassie. Of course you were worried for them. But it is telling how much they have changed that way. The both just seem to take everything in stride. It's like they now understand that no matter what happens they will be able to deal with it together. Gabrielle has even stopped over stressing about her classes. That is an amazing accomplishment."
Mom has no idea. I mean Gabrielle use to stress herself out so much about her classes that she would breakdown doing homework. It was annoying really. No matter what you told her she just cried and cried for the littlest things.
Jack use to be able to get her to calm down and make her happy again when he worked at it. But it still happened a lot. Now? Jack seems to have perfected his Gabrielle stress level monitor. It's like he can see when Gabrielle is going to start working herself into a breakdown and he just somehow knows exactly how to cut it off before it builds. I have never seen anything like it.
Sometimes it's just an I love you and a kiss at just the right time. Sometimes it's a shoulder message that drains the tension out of her. Sometimes he just goes and sits next to her reading his phone and stroking her hair or rubbing her back softly. I don't know how he knows when she needs which, but he seems to have it worked out to a tee.
"Yup, just more proof that they are perfect for each other."
"So are you ready for your speech? You know you are expected to say something at the reception. Have you thought about it at all? Do you need some help with it?"
Trust me Mom. I have more then enough to say. I even wrote it down a week ago. I won't show you because I want it to be a surprise, but I have been holding back saying anything to other people for so long I can't wait to be able to get it out. I really think they are going to like it. Most people would get embarrassed if you talk about how sickeningly sweet they are. Gabrielle and Jack just kind of nod and agree. That in itself is so sickeningly sweet.
"Nope, I got it Mom. Maybe Madalyn can use some help though. I heard her practicing last night from her room."
"Ok, I will offer when she comes down. We have 20 or 30 minutes until Gabrielle will get here. I think she is out of the shower so you might want to head up. You need to be done before your sister arrives. I have no idea if she was going to shower before she came over so I want the bathroom open."
"I am going to go now Mom but you know me. I am not my sisters. I will be in and out in ten minutes. I spend enough time in the water that showers are not a big deal to me. You know that."
"I know honey. I will make another pot so you can have a second cup when you come back down. I believe the plan is to setup in the dinning room for hair and makes up. So don't forget to bring down what you need."
"I will Mom. I will be right back."
...
Wow, Madalyn looks ready to attack the day. She really has changed about this. I am impressed by my sister. She is actually growing up.
"Morning Madalyn"
"Cassie. Thank you for getting up. I was expecting to have to fill the bucket when I got out of the shower."
"I want this to be perfect also you know."
"I know that. I just want Gabrielle to have nothing go wrong today, ok?
"Ok then. We will make sure that happens then. Team?"
"Team"
You know as I stand here under the spray I have to think that maybe Jack is more then perfect for Gabrielle. I don't think anyone else could get the three of us so focused on the same outcome. I mean I love my sisters and I know they love me but... We are still different people that normally do not agree on things very well. It seems only since Jack came back into our lives that we seemed to make our way back to how we were when we were younger. We feel more like a close family again.
I guess I will owe Jack for more then just making Gabrielle happy. Huh, well how do you like that?
