I watched you closely
As you held her firmly
Walking down the aisle
People watched you attentively
I wish I was in her shoes
I wish you held me that way
I wish you looked at me in that manner
So adoringly...
I can never comprehend
I came here today despite my hurting
Not because I'm jealous
But because
I want to know
Yes I want to know

What she had
That I didn't have

How bad I was

How much I wasn't good enough
I want to know
Why I wasn't worth your love
As if on purpose
Your eyes met mine
It held an emotion
One I couldn't understand
Immediately your grip on her hand loosened
I turned back
Only to hear you
Scream out loud my name
Gaining the attention
Of every attentive watcher
"Please don't go" You pleaded
I stared blankly at you
Making the decision i never thought I could make
I walked out of the door
I felt relieved knowing
For the first time I was leaving
And not being left
Now I can dream sweet
In my bitter dream
