Not physically
But emotionally
They said they wanted to hear my story
I laughed humorlessly
For I knew they didn't intend to tell me a sorry

They'd soon bid this world goodbye
They had fire hovering over them
But they cared less
For it was my issue they cared more about
They were my fans
