Penny was very confused by the Weasley twins. Ruby and Fred ended their fling, like expected so that's why Penny assumed they weren't around as much. She still caught the quick look from George when she was working or during a meal. She didn't mind it as much anymore. He was beginning to grow on her to the point where when she saw him and he didn't say hello she was sad. She kept her pinky promise to the milder ginger twin and he kept notice of it.

"Hello Penny." George sat down next to her at the table while she was by herself reading a letter from her father. Fred and George always came in pairs so naturally he sat across from them.

She greeted the boys and looked at Fred. "Done already? Don't worry I won't tell her you're hiding from her."

He sighed, "I'm not hiding. I just can't keep the other ladies waiting for this. There's not enough me for everyone."

Penny and George laughed at his dicky behavior. "But there's two of you."

George looked a bit blush as his brother laughed, "Sadly my brother doesn't partake in the adventures, do you Georgie?"

George just looked at his brother before returning to Penny. "Would you like to go to Hogsmead with me?"

"OOOO a date?" Fred teased the both of them.

There was silence between the two, neither knowing exactly what to say. George practically hissed at his brother. "Can't friends go together?"

Fred saw this as his cue to leave. "Bye Floyd."

George got up to. "I'll get you in an hour." What happened next, Penny wasn't quite sure but he winked at her.

There was a commotion outside the hall, McGonnigal and Umbridge seemed to be having a power struggle about the corporal punishment that was being dished out. It looked as if Umbridged ended ontop but Penny didn't stay to hear the dictator make her speech.

There was a mix of confusing thoughts flowing through Penny's head. It seems her legs were more excited than her brain was. She thought about the word friend almost obsessively. Penny thought about what it would be like to be George Weasley's friend. What it would be like not to be his friend. In a moment of weakness while she was changing her clothes. She thought about what it would be like more than friends. Her thoughts quickly ended when she saw Ruby pouting on her bed. "You okay Rubs?"

She sighed and rolled over on her bed. It was more dramatic than her signature eye roll. Penny didn't want to disclose her plans to her, not for secrecy sake but to spare her feelings. "Yeah I guess so. Fred and I are on a break again. Can you believe that? I should stop going back to that git." Ruby didn't fail to notice her best friend looking nicely. "Where are you off to? Are you going to Hogsmead?" Penny tried to play it off as if she wasn't listening and was focusing on braiding her ginger hair. "Fine don't tell me."

She knew that she had aggravated Ruby but depending on how today was going to go, she didn't want the entire school knowing. "I'll see you later tonight." With one long lasting look in the mirror, she felt ready to go out and see George.

Down in the common room Lee, Fred and George were all chatting about. Fred gave a quick elbow to George when they saw Penny come down the stairs. His smile grew immensely as if he was watching a prank on one of his siblings take place. "Are you ready?"

She hadn't realized it but her heart rate picked up when he smiled at her. "Yeah of course."

"See you later gents." George told them as he escorted Penny out of the common rooms. The two boys remaining made faces and gestures that were quite crude and if Penny had seen, would have definitely embarrassed her back into bed. They headed with a group of students towards the village with the first stop being at The Three Broomsticks. George must have had a recent encounter with Umbridge because he discussed her."Can you believe that woman. She's taking over the school. She probably skinned over a hundred Puffskeins to make her stupid outfits."
