(Keith, Katie and Matt are ten)..

"Congrats, you caught your first rabbit with your own trap" Keith smirked as he patted the young girl shoulder beside him as they stared at the trap she built to help Keith since he had a couple traps break over the month.

"I'm happy yet I'm sad. I'm glad my trapped work but now I feel bad for the rabbit" Katie answered with mixed feelings as she turned to the boy beside her. 

"Yeah, that will happen but don't worry this rabbit will feed a family and help them live another day. The rabbit will be living somewhere safe in the sky and you stopped another from dying by hunger" Keith replied with a small smile, taking the girl hand in his and giving it a squeeze.

"Thanks Keith, for making me feel better and for letting me hunt with you" Katie smiled sweetly as she squeezed his hand back. 

"I don't mind, it was nice having you tag along for once. Maybe we could do it more often" Keith muttered shyly as he glanced to the ground.

"I would like that" Katie smiled brightly, turning to him as Keith gave a happy nod. 

"Well, I'll go tie the rabbits to some sticks for her to carry to town tomorrow. You better head home, its getting close to your dinner time with Matt" Keith spoke up as he released her hand, picking up the trap. 

"Sure, see you tomorrow Keith" Katie smiled, giving a slight wave before heading towards her and Matt shack.

Katie had a bit of a skip in her step, she hasn't been herself for the past week. Matt caught a bad cold, she knew it was bad becuase her heart ached as her body took all his pain away leaving him to just the sick part. 

She thankfully got some medication for him and he was healing but her heart was still recovering a little. She pretended she was fine, knowing her brother doesn't know she had side effects whenever he was close to death and wanted him to worry over getting better. 

She was thankful to Keith, he pulled her away and been checking on her daily while Matt stayed in bed. He helped distract her from her own worries and pain just enough for her to truly smile again. Of course, he'll head home and she'll be stuck with a sleeping brother and feeling her body return to normal. 

"I wish dad was still with us, he would be able to explain this to me better. If Matt dies then as do I but If I die then matt will stay living. The garrison will be safe from forceful taking as long as I'm not killed by them yet if I die I can seal the soul and protect the kingdom from being taken by the wrong hands. How does that even make sense, am I just a spirit born in flesh" Katie whispered to herself as she lost the skip in her step, glancing up to the cloudy skies and wondering over who or what she may be. 

She froze as a white glowed filled around her, turning to the White Lion that lead her to Keith long ago. She heard rumours of it being the guardian who only showed when it was needed and she wondered if her thoughts active the guardian of the truce land. 

She knew the white lion itself was the mage pet long ago and became the soul of the truce land that the Mage lived within and died in. 

Was Katie linked to the white lion as well. 

"Yes, my child we are linked more then you shall ever know" 

"Eeep" Katie yelped with a cry at the unknown voice filling her head.

"Clam my child, It is me the white lion .. the guardian who has came to pass on the truth that your dad could never tell himself" 

"So, you can speak but what do you mean by truth. Do you know what I am? Do you know about me and Matt soul? Am I truly human or not?" Katie rambled out as she looked to the white lion that sat down.

"Silence and I will tell you, I can not stay for long without warning those who soul is linked to each kingdom soul letting them I was summoned"

"Speak away" Katie muttered as she held her hands behind her back. 

"You were born as the new protector over the three kingdoms, the mage true land will always stay safe from other kingdoms harmful doings. But you heart has came with a price. You know over your shared soul with your brother and what shall happen if he dies before you" 

"Yes, I remember my dad words because he cried before me. He had such guilt and shame over who I was born to be" Katie answered with a slight frown, she may only have been four but the memory was the only clear one she had over her dad. 

"You will be the reason the three kingdoms souls stay protected. You can either destroy them or save them, you know if you destroy the kingdom souls then the power will fade and the three kingdoms will fall. But keep them alive and joint to the Kings and Queens of the kingdoms to keep the people safe, it also comes to a cost" 

"A cost" Katie asked with slight fear. 

"If one shall kill you then they will gain the power of not just the Garrison Kingdom but all three kingdoms. They will hold all three souls and link to them even if they not chosen to be the king or queen. You hold such a power that must never be spoken over, I only tell you not in hopes you'll never hand yourself over truly. If you die, by your own hands then the power born within you will be locked away, glowing around the kingdoms souls and the truce land soul. If you die by your own hands, then you will be able to seal the thrones to only be used by those with a worthy heart. You must, no matter how much you fear death .. you can not die by another hand, if you are killed as matt is killed then your power will be faded, no harm done. But killed directly, you will be giving the person ultimate power" 

"I have the power to choose to either live or die by my choosing and either safe the kingdoms forever or given the three souls over to whoever my killer is. How can I make a choice, I'm only a child" Katie asked with tears filling her eyes.

"I'm sorry my child, its the fate you have been given. The day one tries to forcefully break a kingdom soul or more is the day you must deicide your fate. Live and keep the Souls forever in danger by any or Die by your hands and protect the souls of the kingdoms and those who live within them" 

"Its not fair" Katie cried out as the white lion disappeared without another word.

"Why give me Life if you only wished to take it from me" Katie screamed out as her legs gave in making her fall to the ground sobbing.
