he's not coming back.

All she had to do now was wait for the weekend, so onyx decided to take a walk around town. It was all still under construction but one building stood out. It was a large apartment building and it clearly stood out. She wondered why such a building was under construction and who arranged it. she decided to let it go and as she had to many things to think about. She felt hungry and decided to get some food and she didn't know why but she felt compelled to go to the local supermarket.

Walking in she found it strange that it was still standing when someone ran up behind her "hay onyx, do you know when your brother's coming in? we could really use some help." One of diamonds co-workers asked. Onyx understood why she felt the need to go there and she started crying. Soon she fell to her knees and the coercer tried to get her to stop. "what's wrong onyx?" they asked, and she stared crying harder "he's not coming back." She managed to get out through her tears. "oh, I'm so sorry." Onyx got back to her feet and started to look around for some food.

She soon found the cereal she would usually have, payed for it and left the store feeling crushed. She decided to try and check up on her other friends that where rebuilding her house. The closer she got the more uneasy she felt. Something compelled her to hide in the bushes and listen in on their conversation. "it feels good to be working on something again, instead of sitting in that underwater prison." Aqua said ever so cheerfully. "whatever." Ruby responded to an unspoken question. "what is your problem?" granite asked in a condescending tone. "you want to know my issue, you two are lying to her. When where you planning to tell her that where not from here." Ruby asked

"I don't know." Granite responded "why?" "because we don't know what diamond has done to her or what It'll do to try and jog her memories." Aqua responded "how do you expect her to trust us is she doesn't know anything" ruby responded, "why do you care?" granite asked "because unlike you two my memories aren't being held back by nostalgia. We all know how powerful she can be and doesn't remember a single thing from back then." Ruby argued "look, none of us want to face the ruth but it's time we admit she's changed, and she has a new life. They both did." Granite responded and ruby looked like he was going to blow a fuse. "you two need to realise that your bring held back and I don't have that disadvantage."

Onyx was shocked by what she just heard, and she backed up further into the bushes when she fell down a hole. She started falling but soon she slowed down. "why am I slowing down?" she asked herself to notice that she was glowing grey. "how am I doing this?" she continued to ask herself as she came to a complete stop at the bottom of the ladders. "what is this place?" nobody gave her an answer but as she existed the long hallway, she was somewhere failure.

the secret under her feet.

as she existed the long hallway, she was somewhere failure. "wait this is..." she asked her self-coming to an unfortunate realisation. This was diamonds bunker he had hidden for all these years when she couldn't find him. She took a good look and noticed that the celling was still in place, the machine was broken but not as much as she thought, and the explosion reviled a big safe. She forced her way in, and she found blueprints. One of them was for the machine but some of them where for things she never knew about.

She looked at them long and hard and she realised that she understood what it was saying. It had instructions for his unique programming language and some parts where written in his usual style. She sat down and took everything she was seeing in. she went to the ladders and she could see that they were cut off by a large metal cylinder and if she had to guess it was about 6 feet thick. It became clear that this bunker also functioned as a last resort bunker as she found a closet full of tined meat, but the door had melted, and the tin cans weren't far behind.

She continued to look around when she came across a hidden compartment under the work bench. She pressed the button that was on the underside of the table and it led to a mother bunker room, but it was almost completely empty, excluding some tin cans and a lot off bottled water. She looked around franticly realising that diamond could have survived there but there was nobody in that room. She looked for any other hidden rooms or hidden buttons but there was nothing. She fell to her knees and started crying. She realised that he was gone. He wasn't hiding and she also knew that without the speed core he wouldn't be fast enough to get out of there.

She started blaming herself thinking that she killed him. She just kneeled there and cried for a good 10 minutes when she got a call from Gwen. 'are you crying?' 'no.' 'I'm going to ignore that you are clearly lying and I'm going to tell you that you need to come back. We've tried to call aqua, but she thought you came back here.' Onyx hung up and got back up the hole with ladders she fell through and she went back to the house. "so, what's wrong?" Gwen asked as onyx walked into their shared room. "I don't want to talk about it." onyx responded as she faced planted on the air mattress and she fell asleep just wanting the day to end.
