Chapter 10A - Christmas party &Chapter 10B - experimenting.

Christmas party.

"so, can you two come with me?" onyx asked upon receiving her invitation for a Christmas party at Gwen's house. "sure, my schedule's free." Granite responded, "what about ruby?" aqua asked "he's not going to come no matter what we say." Onyx responded. When the day came granite, aqua and onyx made their way to Gwen's house. Granite knocked on the door and jill opened the door. "you're the second guys here." She said letting them in. "hay onyx." Gwen waved and Olivia gave a small wave. "nice to see you two again." David said seeing granite and aqua. Onyx went over to the two girls and she sat down with them. "so, what are we doing here?" onyx asked getting a drink along the way.

"once everybody's here the friend group are going to my room." Gwen explained when the doorbell rang. Jill opened the door "hey there." She said to ted who was standing there. "is this the right address for the Christmas party?" he asked, "Shure is, the others are in the living room waiting on you." She explained and ted let himself into the house to make himself comfortable. A few more minute later the door rang again. Their stood Elizabeth with her dad and Jessica with her mom. "you two here for the party?" jill asked "Shure am mam." Elizabeth responded, "you must be Gwen's girlfriend." Jill commented on Elizabeth as she let them all in.

"if that's everybody we can go." Gwen said but there was another doorbell ring. "who could that be?" jill asked as she opened the door. Their stood pearl and Jake with his dads. "Jake, I wasn't expecting you to come here." Onyx and Gwen got a visible look of worried when jill said that as they knew who else was there. when they entered aqua told granite to look behind him and he started to break down. He ran over to pearl and hugged her. "I've missed you too bro." pearl said letting herself cry. "I have so many questions." Granite said through his tears. "I know, but I just want to spend some time with onyx over there" she said pointing in the living room as onyx hid in the sofa.

They all went to Gwen's room and she set up the hybrid console and she loaded the fighting game they were playing during the reunion. "did you bring the extra controllers I asked you to bring?" Gwen asked, "got neon red, blue, green and pink." She said pulling them out of a small bag she had on her. "well I've got both of the greys and the neon yellows." Gwen said asking everybody what they wanted. Onyx took one of the greys and Olivia took the other. Elizabeth took the pink and Gwen took the green. Ted and Jessica took the bright yellow controllers and Jake took the red and pearl took the blue.

"controllers are simple, B is special attacks, A is regular attacks, the ZL Is for grabbing and ZR is blocking, X and Y are jump. You just need to get the percentage high enough to knock the other person off screen." Onyx explained as they entered an 8 player game. They went into teams of two, onyx and Olivia, Elizabeth and Gwen, ted and Jessica, Jake and pearl where a team. While onyx chose her standard of needle mouse, Olivia went with the umbra witch, ted played as the captain of the blue falcon, Jessica as the squid girl, Gwen played as the bear and bird duo, Elizabeth played as the fighter with extendable arms, Jake played as electric mouse that had a handy cap and pearl played as the guy with a gun and sword.

The first to go was ted and Jessica as they had never played the game before, next was Gwen and Elizabeth and finally was pearl and Jake. "you're not too bad at this grey." Olivia said giving onyx a fist bump "and you've gotten better." Onyx responded. "have I been replaced." Gwen said dramatically and both her and onyx busted out into laughter. After some more time it was time for everybody to head home. Peal decided she was going to go with onyx and the others for the night. When they arrive back home onyx went to her room, but pearl stayed and explained everything to granite, aqua and ruby. "that's..." granite responded. "have you told onyx yet?" ruby asked, "I have but she doesn't remember what the citadel is or where from." Pearl explained. "I'm going to tell her soon, just not now." Aqua said walking upstairs to her room. The other two followed and pearl went to onyx room where she was asleep. Peal wanted to say something, but she didn't know if diamond had done more to onyx then they knew.

Taking a deep breath, she had to reassure herself she wasn't doing something wrong. She sat in the bunker and worked on the communicator. "this makes no sense; this looks like it was designed for interdimensional communication, but I don't get why he would make something like this." She told herself when it finally hit her. "am I from another dimension?" she asked herself to realise the ramifications of if she was. Not wanting an answer, she decided to ignore it, but something couldn't stop nagging at her. Is that why the portal was made? Was it made to travel to another dimension?

She walked up to the, half intact, machine and she downloaded what information she could get off of it. "what's dimension 1B?" she asked not having more information to work off in any of the code. She sat back down at the desk and she noticed something was off, the code looked incomplete and it looked like it was underpowered. She decided to take it upon herself to complete the machine and to get them back to wherever home was. She looked at the machine and saw that he circuit boards weren't custom made, they where reused from other items around the house. She smacked her face to break out of it. she wanted to move on from it, but something wouldn't leave her mind, what if he made it? she wanted to contuse but she knew not to. As far as the other knew she was hanging out with ted and she had to be back so, so she existed the bunker and she entered the door.

"onyx wait we need to have a talk." Aqua said sitting on the sofa as she was sweating bullets. Onyx played dumb and asked what was wrong. "I need to tell you that where not from around here..." onyx cut her off. "I know, I've been able to use context clues to deduce that we're defiantly not from around here. I just want to know from where." Onyx said sitting down. "I haven't been completely honest with you, we're from another dimension." Aqua said wincing and waiting for some kind of response. Onyx looked at the fear inside aqua's eyes and she decided to come clean.

"I've not been completely honest either. Back when I first found pearl, she gave me something that was from the other dimension. It was a prototype for an interdimensional communicator that diamond was making. It's just a prototype but I'm making some progress although the code on it is incomplete and almost unworkable." She explained. "I see, I know I shouldn't tell you this, but I want you to take a brake and just relax. Your 14, you shouldn't be thinking about how to fix a machine to break the dimensional barrier. We've come to terms with the fact that we're not going back." Aqua asked of onyx. Onyx agreed and went to her room.

She looked and she saw that she had about 5 unread messages from Gwen. 'are you ok.' 'yeah, just tiered. Today's been stressful for me.' 'aqua's been asking where you have been.' 'She just told me I'm from another dimension, and I've told her that I've been working on the machine.' 'I thought something was off. I'll talk to you tomorrow." Gwen texted before they both passed out.
