aqua's adventures in being a guardian.

When onyx returned home, aqua was waiting in the living room. "so, school called today, I need to go in for a parent teacher conference tomorrow. Granite and ruby have gone back to their dungeons to try and make them liveable for people for a just in case scenario. you're going to be alone tomorrow; do you think you can handle that?" "of course, I can, I'm not 9, I'm not going to bur this place down again." She responded. "right well, it's going to be during the whole day so I'm going to go and cool off." She said going into her room where she waters the plants that filled the room and she looked out of the window that looked out behind the house. She forced herself to keep it together for onyx's sake.

When the day came, she shouted up to onyx that she was going, and she made her way to town. She got to the school and went to the through reception. "you must the guardian of onyx." "how could you tell." "you're bright blue." The receptionist responds. "right, well where do I need to go." "just down the hall and to the left." He said handing her a visitor badge. "thanks." She responds walking off. She arrived into the office where she found someone with the adoption centre was there as well as who she could only believe to be the parents of one of the other kids involved. "I've had to call you all here today to discuss your children fighting on school property. "yes, those awful children attacked my little charlotte." A mother said "she attacked my son unprovoked" a farther said.

"well I think we can discuss this like adults so, I need to know as much as possible about what happened, especially since onyx was pulled out for the preceding week." Aqua then chimed in "I pulled her out for the week because she was out for two days after what happened. She was knocked out for two days." She explained "I'm Shure that was the reason, and not due to her starting a fight she lost." The dad of ben said in a sarcastic tone. "how old are you again, because you sound younger than your son." Aqua responded. "can we just deal with this like adults, I have nearly 100 kids to get back to at the centre." The lady from the adoption centre asked. "listen we need to sort this out. Can you two please leave so I can talk to these two." He asked of Charlie and ben's parents.

"how long have you been the guardian of onyx?" he asked aqua "just a few months. I'm the ex of her brother and when I found out that he had died, me and a few friends moved in with her." Aqua explained "who are these friends your talking about?" the principle asked, "my brother and my best friend." She explained. "was this legal?" he asked. She blushed a dark blue and had to admit that she didn't make it legal. "I can help you there if you want." The lady spoke up when the principle turned to her. "how long has Olivia been with you?" "just a month or two." "but she's been here since before Christmas." He interrogated. "she decided that living under a bridge was a good idea, but she eventually came to us." The lady explained

"listen Sophia, was she in the fight?" he asked, "she was there to stand up for her friends, and she told everyone what happened and the video that you've tried showing me, obviously cuts off." Sophia responded. "I suggest you find a real reason we should get them out of trouble, if you can't I'm going to have to punish them. We can't afford to let charlotte and Ben leave." "this is about money isn't it. you want to punish out children so that they stay." Aqua inferred from the obvious context clues. "I know that's sue worthy. Can you afford that?" "can you?" the principle asked. "you'd be surprised." She responded as she walked out. She used her powers to knock over the coffee all over his desk as a form of petty revenge.

She arrived back at the house and fell onto the sofa. "you here onyx?" "yeah just in the shower." Onyx shouted back. She just lay on the couch and when onyx came down with her hair still wet and untied. She just held her head to the sofa. "how have you dealt with this guy for the last 4 years?" aqua asked "4 years of practice." Onyx responded as she went into her room and aqua just laid there.

The house was empty for the day, so onyx decided to take the time to fix up the machine and the communicator. She went into the bunker and made a start on the communicator. Within the hour she had something coming out of it. it had a signal, a week signal, but a signal. She walked closer to the machine and the signal got higher. She tried calling the number that pearl had given her for testing and someone picked up. "hello, this is the citadel, what is your problem." She hung up and started crying tears of joy. She started to smack herself to make Shure she wasn't dreaming but she wasn't.

Knowing that the communicator was fixable, she started on the machine and she used the speed core to pick up the pace. It took an hour but the machine 'looked stable' and she sat down with her phone and she worked on the code. She didn't have much to go off of, but she was able to pull something together. It failed and she punched the wall and she wondered why. She noticed that hand had less of a green radiant she took the core out and placed it on the counter. She got back to working on the machine, but something was calling out to her.

She was becoming overwhelmed, so she decided to take a nap. After a few minutes she woke back up in the bunker, but it was different, the machine looked brand new. She wondered what's going on, and she saw her brother working on the machine. She yelled but no sound came out of her mouth. She tried to through something, but she couldn't grab anything. She tried to use her powers, but the grey colour left her body and she returned to her original colour. She tried to get in his way, but he walked right through her.

Was it a dream or a vision? She didn't know, but she sat down and watched. She watched as he worked on the machine, she watched it activate on its own, she watched diamond come down and deactivate it, she watched diamond spend days to work on it and she watched herself comedown and confront Dimond. She watched the machine blow up and she thought that's when it would stop. However, the dream continued, and she watched herself fall in, she watched herself working on it and then she saw granite and peal in the bunker with her and pearl calling through the communicator. She saw everybody in the bunker, and she saw it activate with the core bearers using some kind of glove and she had the speed core, she then watched as the 5 of them stepped through and that's when she woke up.

She was panting heavily, and when she looked at her hand, she had the speed core on her hand. "what just happened?" she asked the empty room. She took a moment to catch her breath before deciding she had done enough and going back into the house. She went to go and take a shower, when aqua arrived back home. "you here onyx?" aqua yelled and onyx turned off the shower. "just in the shower." She yelled back as she started to get her self-dressed. After aqua asked how she had dealt with the principle onyx went to her room to consider what she had just seen.
