Chapter 8A - fist days of school & Chapter 8B - Halloween.

first day of school.

As she awoke, she rushed to get her self-dressed and to brush her hair. Sha took some time to prepare herself for the odd looks she would get. She announced that she was leaving, and she walked to the school. Unusually for her, she was looking forward to going to school. When she arrived, she found Gwen waiting for her? "you Shure you're ready?" Gwen asked, "I won't give myself an excuse to take aqua's offer." Onyx responded as she entered the building. As she worried all eyes were on her, but she decided to ignore them and just head to her home room.

As she entered, she noticed that there was someone new at the front of the room. "all right class, some of you may know of the project the city is doing to try and move people to this town to help the economy, however it's going to take a month for the rest of the people to move here. However, the first student is here. I would like everybody to meet Jessica. Try to be nice to her class." Then he asked Jessica to find who she would like to sit with. She was wearing a dark blue dress and it was clear that she was from a different country. She decided that out of the two tables that remained she would sit with the trio. The teacher watched and noticed that ted was sitting with onyx and Gwen and he went to go and investigate.

"are you three ok here?" he asked. "where fine, why do you ask?" Gwen asked the teacher "it's just that ted's sitting with you two." "oh, don't worry about that. Where friends now." Onyx explained. The teacher just went off and left them be. "hay there Jessica, I'm Gwen. It's nice to meet you." Gwen said putting her best foot forward. "I'm onyx and this is ted, although you won't get much out of him." Onyx introduced herself and ted. "that's a unique name." Jessica responded weakly. "thanks, although I seem to be common with my brother's friends." Onyx said putting her chin on the desk. "is there something wrong with your skin?" Jessica asked looking like she was going to die from embracement.

"it's just a skin condition, nothing to worry about." Onyx explained and they moved on to the next class where Jessica was clearly trying to do her best, but she was having trouble getting her hand up to explain her answers. By brake time onyx and Gwen could tell something was wrong. "what are you doing now Jessica?" Gwen asked, "I don't know honestly." Jessica said trying to hide behind her books. "I think we should take her to our hidden place." Gwen whispered to onyx who gave a thumbs up. "whatever you two are about to do, I'm out." Ted said "why?" onyx asked, "because if I know ben and his crew, there up to something to get under not only Jessica's skin but also your skin." He responded as he walked off to go and watch ben and his friends.

They came to an empty room where Gwen placed in her key and the door opened. "after you." Gwen said and the other two entered. "what is this?" Jessica asked "it's a room they gave us. We were being bullied so much that my parents and her brother complained to much for them to handle and they were forced to do something but since ben and Charlie where major athletes that brought the school money they couldn't punish them so they gave us a room to hide in." Gwen explained. "did you say her brother?" "yeah, my parents are long dead so I've been living with Dimond for as long as I can remember. Although some information I learned recently is putting that into question." Onyx explained. "it's just been me and mom for as long as I can remember too. She wants me to do so well in school but it's taking its toll on me. I've been so tiered for so long." Jessica explained.

"I can't say the same unfortunately as my brother just said to be who I am. He said that it had something to do with how our dad didn't let me do that, but I don't remember much from before 4 years ago." She explained "it helps that you are super smart not to mention he may have known about your powers." Gwen added on. "wait you have powers?" Jessica asked "dam it Gwen, I've been trying to keep it a secret. Yes, I have powers, I have gravity manipulation." Then Jessica busted into a million questions "how, when, for how long, have you ever made a black hole..." onyx stopped her "a orb called a core that is a concentrated form of the elements, about two months ago, and yes but it was terrifying and I refuse to ever try again."

The bell ran and they headed off through the rest of the lessons relatively smoothly. "all right I'll see you guys tomorrow. "onyx said walking off towards the forest as usual. "why is she walking that way, all of the houses are this way, it just makes sense to walk this way." Jessica asked Gwen. "she lives in a house build by her brother and his friends in the forest, you'll have to go one day." Onyx smiled upon hearing Gwen and Jessica getting along.

Halloween night.

"are you two ready for Halloween tonight?" Gwen asked, "I've got my costume done, it's been done since before the incident happened." Onyx said, "I've got my costume ready." Jessica responded. "you three have fun, I need to stay back tonight to give out candy since my parents are lazy." Ted explained "do you two mind if my mom comes along with us, she wants to meet my new friends." "the more the merrier." Gwen responded with onyx just giving her an apathetic look. When school ended the three girls went off to go and get into their own costumes.

Onyx ran up to her room and got into to her costume. She was wearing what looked like an angry jester with jagged pigtails. Granite was walking past as she grabbed the scythe that was made for her before the incident started. "you look ridicules." He said through a chuckle. "it's Halloween, where meant to dress up like this and something tells me this might be my last." "what's Halloween?" he asked. "it's a holiday where you dress up and go door to door asking for free candy." Onyx explained "so what are you dressed up as." "the main antagonist of Nora galaxy the movie. Being abandoned by my presided best friend in a garden in space for 6000 years would screw me up to." She explained looking at the pink shine of the scythe. "I don't get it." he said, "I didn't think you would." She responded leaving the house.

She soon caught up with her friends. Gwen was in a green dress with an octopus on the front, she was wearing striped leggings and had a headband on with horns on the top of it. she was holding a bag and a wand; it was wings on the side of it and the star in the middle was shattered. "see you went with the season 2 look." Onyx commented "well, it was the best season." Gwen responded as they both gave a chuckle. Her attention switched over to Jessica who was in a red haired wig, a cat t-shirt and a pair of beige shorts. "you went with the reboot design?" onyx asked, "it's the version I grew up with." Jessica responded, "the reboot was grate, don't get me wrong but I still think that the original was better." Onyx responded to the response.

They got started and not to long into the night they managed to get through a good majority of the houses when Jessica's mom started to get invasive. "why is your skin like that?" she asked onyx. She was unable to use any face paint. "it's just a skin condition." "why are you dressed like that?" "it's from the antagonist of my favourite movie." "why are they like that?" "the point of the character was to be a show for mental health and how it's ok to be a work in progress. It really stood out to me and it means even more to me now more than ever." Onyx explained ready to defend the character she had chosen. "why what have you been through at your age?" Jessica's mom asked with a stuck up tone.

"let's see, my parents died when I was young, my brother died less than three months ago, my house was destroyed and rebuilt and look at me. This skin condition is still new to me." She explained but when the questions became too much she went home. She cried for a while after being bombarded with questions and she just put on some scary movies and she watched the night away.
