Chapter 9A - Gwen's new crush &Chapter 9B - Gwen's ex

Gwen's new crush.

As usual the class she was in was boring as she had already completed all the science work given to her. So, as she sat at the back of the class, due to the teacher hating the fact that she was making the teachers work to easy, she watched as Gwen stumbled with her pen and couldn't take her eye of off one table. Onyx looked at the table and she could see why Gwen was having a hard time keeping her eyes on the work. She could tell which one was Gwen's new crush. The class ended and she caught up to her friends. "I wish you were still allowed to help us out that was hard." Ted said but onyx just gave an acknowledging nod and she walked up to Gwen who was about to walk into a wall.

"you've found a new one, haven't you?" she asked with a knowing smirk on her face. "no!" Gwen blurted out but the others could pick up obvious fact she was deigning it. "you have a crush in her don't you." Gwen just sighed and admitted defeat. "why don't you ask her." Onyx asked, "I don't even know if she likes girls." Gwen tried to make and excuse for herself. "you need to ask her before she's unavailable." Onyx tried to reason with Gwen. "I can't." Gwen said with heavy blushing. The other two just stood there and watched the interaction. "would you want me to ask for you?" onyx asked, and Gwen nodded her head. Jessica and ted decided to walk off. "I didn't know she liked girls." Jessica said walking off with ted "it was a big reason I use to ridicule her." Ted explained

They soon found the girl and onyx went to go and talk to her. "hello there, I'm onyx and this is Gwen." She introduces them. "hi, I'm Elizabeth, is there something you wanted to ask me?" she asked. "my friend would like to ask you something but she's frozen in fear so I'll ask for her, would you like to go out on a date with her." Onyx explained "you're that Gwen everybody was telling me about, Shure how about tomorrow at the burger shop?" Elizabeth asked and Gwen gave a nod. "all right it's a date." She said walking off. Gwen almost fainted but she gained her composure. When school ended the two went to Gwen's house.

Gwen searched through all her clothes to try and find an outfit to wear. "are you two in here?" jill asked "where looking for clothes for her date tomorrow." Onyx explained "ONYX!" "what, if you want to revel that I have powers to someone we didn't know all too well, I can tell your mom you have a date." "what's the name of the girl?" jill asked the girls. "Elizabeth." Gwen responded. "sound nice." Jill responded, "I think she was a part of the new foreign student program." Onyx explained "I hope you have fun tomorrow." Jill said leaving the room. Onyx got a buzz on her phone and she had to go.

When the next day came, she got into the dress she had worn on the first day back from her adventure and she headed into the burger shop. Thierer she was Elizabeth and she was also wearing a dress but a bright blue dress. "nice to see you. You look good." Elizabeth said giving Gwen a look over. "you too." She responded as they sat down to eat. "hay Gwen is this your date." The only other worker asked, "Shure is." She responded, "well I'm here to take your orders." He explained "right I'll have the cheeseburger and fries." Gwen responded, "I'll take the chicken burger with curly fries." Elizabeth said and after getting the food they headed out. "I've still not explored much of the city, do you want to show me?" Elizabeth asked, "I would love to, after you." Gwen said as she opened the door. The only spot they had time for was the park.

"here's the park, this town takes it nature very seriously." Gwen said trying to sound smart and knowing. "this town is also really respectful." Elizabeth observed. "yeah well, it does also pride itself on making everybody feel comfortable and they take the community very seriously." Gwen continued to explain as she pulled Elizabeth into the bushes. "I didn't take you to be the, hide in bushes to kiss, type." Elizabeth said as they came to a clearing. "what is this place?" she asked, "it's my secret hide out." Elizabeth looked around and saw a few bows and a few quivers full of arrows. "do you do archery?" "I used to but since the incident I don't use them too much." She explained.

"you are so much better than that ben who tried to ask me out. Don't get me wrong, he had a chance, but I didn't like the vibes he was giving off." Elizabeth explained "he's a bully and he's the biggest bully in that school." Gwen explained but time came to an end and they both had to go home. "I'll see you tomorrow in school." Elizabeth said walking back to her house. When Gwen arrived back home, she was asked how the date went. "I think I got a second date." Gwen said as she went to her room to crash.

As school ended the five of them left but someone was waiting for two of them. "hay Gwen is that..." onyx asked but before she could finish Gwen interrupted her. "OLIVIA!" Gwen yelled. She ran up and hugged the girl. "who is that?" Elizabeth asked, "Gwen's ex." Onyx explained going over and giving Olivia a fist bump. "you look different." Onyx said noticing her change in appearance. Before the trio lost touch, Olivia looked like the typical 11 year old girl, but now she was a goth. "you look different too." Olivia responded. "it's new but I'm starting to like it." onyx responded.

"I feel left out." Elizabeth whispered to Jessica. "so is ted a good guy now or..." Olivia asked "yeah, and you can thank those two over there." He said pointing at Gwen and onyx before walking off. "well, I have to leave." Jessica said looking at her phone. Ted walked off with her and Elizabeth wated for Gwen. "are we still going out tonight?" she asked Gwen. "yeah, of course we are." She said peeling off Olivia and going back to holding hands with Elizabeth. "you going to tell me who she is or..." Olivia asked "that's Gwen's new girlfriend. The incident that happened forced the city to try and get new people in town and that's the result." She said inviting Olivia to follow her.

"so, what are you doing here?" she asked Olivia. "I know that something else happened than just natural disasters." "your right, my brother was a super genius. He tried to make his own portal and I worked for a few minutes until it collapsed." Onyx explained "is that why your grey?" "nope, that's due to my new powers." She explained pulling out a sword to cut down the branches. "that's incredible, how long have you had powers." Just a few months, but now that schools out for winter I'm going to try and get a better handle on my powers." She explained as they reached her house. "what happened here?" Olivia asked, "my house exploded so me and a few new friends rebuilt it." he explained as she headed inside and went to go and put her backpack on her bed.

"are you coming in?" she asked Olivia and she went in. Olivia was shocked to see how well it looked. "didn't you say this place blew up?" Olivia asked "yep, is anybody home?" she asked, and she heard someone yelled down. "I'm here, the guys went to train!" "how did he convince ruby to do that?" "pure blackmail." Aqua responded walking downstairs. "sorry if I wasn't down here waiting for you, my plants needed water." Aqua said giving onyx a wink. "who is this?" aqua asked "one of my old friends, and Gwen's ex, Olivia." Onyx introduced Olivia. "nice to meet you, Olivia." She said moving back to her room. "who's that?" Olivia asked "that's one of the friends I was talking about. She's basically a mom to me." Onyx explained as they went back out. "I'm going to go and see Gwen." Olivia said as onyx let her out of the door.

Olivia walked back through town and found her way back to town and to Gwen's house. "hay, do you want to hang out?" she asked when Gwen opened the door. "Shure." Gwen responded letting Olivia in. "so what are you doing in town anyway?" Gwen asked "I need to be honest here. My parents are dead." Gwen stumbled and gasped "is that why you went all..." "yes, I'm here because I'm staying with my aunt and uncle for now." The room fell silent with the two sitting there until Olivia broke the silence "I didn't like how we ended things last year when I had to move away. Can we just be friends?" Olivia asked, "we can." Gwen responded.

"so, what have I missed while I've been gone, onyx was somewhat vague." Oliva asked. "let's see, there was the incident of natural disaster. Onyx, ted and I went on an adventure where onyx got superpowers and we found her old friends. Her brother died and her house was destroyed. She had to move in with me and a few weeks later we found one of her old friends that I am convinced is from another planet or something." Gwen explained "is she taking it all right?" "she's going to therapy and she's getting better, although it doesn't help her emotions can have negative repercussions on her powers." Gwen explained. "it was nice seeing you again and to get that off my chest." Olivia said as she let herself out the door.
