"Stupid." Dahye muttered to herself as she stood backstage with Jisung, waiting for their turn to take the stage.

Dahye was wering her black dress and ballet shoes, Jisung in his black pants and lilac shirt, half tucked in with white sneakers, their costumes for their duet. The day had finally came for them to compete it, along with the other dancers at Neo School for the Arts.

Normally, she would be nervous for a performance like this, especially with the long judges table right in the middle of the audience. But not today.

Today, she was still furious at Park Jisung, the hip hop dancer that she was partnered with. The one that had made unnecessary comments during their second last rehearsal, and the one that she basically ignored during their last one yesterday. Dahye had essentially stopped caring and just wanted to get this stupid dance over with.

It didn't help that they were performing right after Bomi and her partner, who did the absolute perfect ballet duet.

I could be doing that.

"Break a leg." Hyunjae whispered to her as the audience clapped for Bomi and her partner. Dahye just shot him a look.

"I'll need that." Dahye muttered as she took her spot on stage with Jisung.

She took a deep breath as the music started, dancing the movements Jisung had choreographed. She probably looked nothing like Jisung, but at this point, she was just waiting for the dance to end.

That was until the part where she chreographed began and she noticed Jisung doing something different than her. Is he seriously freestyling right now?

Dahye froze in place as the sight of Jisung's random moves had her in shock until she realized she was on stage and not in the studio. Oh my gosh, I'm in trouble.

Dahye didn't even remember what her body had done in the few minutes that she was on stage as she curtsied before running off. It didn't help that Bomi had the biggest smirk on her face.

"Wow, that was probably the worst duet I've ever seen." Bomi commented.

Dahye felt the tears brimming in her eyes and didn't have the energy to talk back to the girl as ran straight for the halls of the school, getting out of sight from the other dancers so they wouldn't see her crying.

That's when she ran straight into someone's chest.

When Dahye looked up, she could feel her blood boiling as she saw the eyes of the one person she hated the most in that moment.

Today is the worst day ever.

...

Jisung had messed up. Big time.

He knew that he had messed up when Dahye refused to speak to him during their last rehearsal before going on stage. So he had stayed quiet, moving through the steps as best as he could. By the time rehearsal had ended, Dahye had left as quickly as she could, leaving Jisung alone with the studio to himself.

He had messed up again when he was on stage and forget Dahye's choreography. So instead, he freestyled, dancing however his body felt like, popping and locking. The problem was, his random outburst of hip hop movements had taken Dahye by surprise, and the poor girl was frozen for a split second before freestyling some ballet herself. In that moment, Jisung knew they were completed screwed and that there was no way that they would be taking home the prize that night. Especially not when they were both freestyling their dance in two different styles.

All his mistakes were only confirmed when Dahye ran into his chest in the halls of the school, tears flowing down her face like there was no tomorrow. Jisung gulped down the lump in his throat as Dahye glared at him with eyes that could kill.
