Dahye was getting her make up and hair done backstage, her multiple costumes hung up on the rack, with Bomi far away from them.
A part of her wasn't worried though, as it seemed as thought Byungho had told his mother about his sister's rotten behaviour, making Ms. Choi watch everything like a hawk.
Plus, with Bomi's broken ankle and crutches, it seemed as though the girl couldn't do much but sit in the audience with a frown on her face while Dahye and the other dancers prepared for the production.
According to Hoya, many dance scouts were also in the audience, two which were his friends from South Korea which owned a prestigious dance school. Hoya told them that if they did well enough, they might be given offers to work with them over the summer break.
"Whoa, you look good."
Dahye turned around to see Jisung there, wearing his first costume with his bangs gelled up, revealing his forehead. Dahye stood there, staring at the male.
"Do I look that bad?" Jisung asked, turning towards the mirror but Dahye immediately shook her head, grabbing his arm so that he turned back to face her.
"No, you look amazing."
Jisung smiled from ear to ear at her compliment and was about to plant a kiss when the backstage director called to them.
"I'll see you on stage then?" Jisung said, giving a quick peck on the top of her head instead.
"Break a leg." Dahye said with a wink.
"Break a leg."
...
Jisung gulped as he saw the amount of people in the audience. It was a full house.
Unfortunately, he didn't have time to freak out as soon he saw his cue to go on stage.
Unlike the duet, Jisung remembered each and every one of his steps, performing them with ease. He breezed through the whole show, dancing alongside Dahye and before the two of them knew it, the curtain was coming down, the audience giving them a huge round of applause.
"Yay, we did it!" Dahye exclaimed. Jisung was taken by surprise as the girl jumped into his arms.
He could only smile and laugh as he spun them around, the two of them bathing in happiness. "We did."
When Jisung finally put Dahye down, he was embarassed to see Ms. Choi and Hoya standing there. Had they seen that?
Instead of commenting though, the two dance teachers complimented them.
"That was fantastic you two, we're so proud of you." Ms. Choi said as Hoya nodded in agreement.
The rest of the night was filled with photos and flowers and their friends and family surrounded them.
"Ey, that's our a maknae." Mark said, giving Jisung his typical pat on the back. Jeno and Jaemin smiled at him, giving Jisung two thumbs up.
"Move, I'm taking a picture with him." Chenle said, shoving the others aside to get a solo shot with Jisung.
"Relax." Renjun said, crossing his arms as he rolled his eyes. Chenle shot him a glare before continuing to take selfies with his best friend.
That's when Jisung realized that Donghyuck wasn't with the others. Where is her?
"Can I steal him for a moment?" Dahye asked, slipping in between the two.
Chenle was about to throw hands until he realized it was Dahye. "Oh, sure."
