Chapter 24

Jisung had watched Dahye's from the sidelines and was surprised when the girl went on stage in her ballet clothes. I thought I saw her with a white dress earlier.

Dahye's performance was flawless thought but he wasn't sure how much the no costume part would affect her. That's too bad, she would have made a good Juliet.

Jisung was making his way out to the halls when he heard Dahye yelling.

"Yah, who's side are you on, Choi Byungho?" Dahye exclaimed. Huh?

Jisung pretending to be staring at the posters on the wall as he listened to the conversation.

"What are you talking about?" Byungho replied. Jisung noticed that Renxiang and Hyunjae had confused looks on their faces too.

"You told Bomi, didn't you? About the white dress idea. You're literally the only person I told, there's not way she could have found out. I can't believe you!"

Jisung bit the inside of his cheek as he tried not to smile as Dahye stormed away, Renxiang quickly following.

"Did you really tell her?" Hyunjae asked his friend. Byungho had his head hung low.

"I..."

Hyunjae shook his head. "You have a lot of explaining to do."

Hyunjae ran after the two girls, leaving the two girls alone. Jisung was about to leave the scene when Bomi came out from backstage, and like Dahye had said, she was wearing a white dress.

Oh gosh, please don't see me, Jisung thought as he shifted his attention back to the poster, hoping that Bomi wouldn't see him but it seemed like someone else had other plans.

"Yah, noona!" Byungho called out. Noona?

"Oh, Byungho." Bomi said, her voice faking enthusiasm. "I didn't expect to see you here."

"It's bad enough that I slipped up Dahye's plan during dinner but did you really have to destroy her dress?" Byungho asked her.

Dinner?

"Oh, Byungho, you have no proof that it was me." Jisung heard Bomi say.

"But as your older sister, I thank you for giving me the white dress idea, I think it helped with landing the role."

Wait, Bomi is Byungho's older sister?

...

Dahye wasn't even surprised when she saw the castings. Jisung was Romeo and Bomi was Juliet, as expected. Dahye? Well she had got the amazing role of the nurse.

At least there's a small solo.

What surprised her though, was when she saw that under Romeo and Juliet, there were understudy positions, with her and Hyunjae's names. Dahye didn't know if she was happy or upset, as that meant that she was only a sliver away from getting the lead role.

If only it weren't for the costume.

"Hey, we're understudy buddies." Hyunjae said, giving her a high five.

"Yeah, we are." Dahye said, plastering a smile to fake her excitement.

As she turned to walk away, she met the eyes of the tall male, standing right behind her.

"Congratulations. Hope you enjoy dancing with Bomi." Dahye said to Jisung before heading out.

"I hate this." Jisung groaned as he pulled his hair. The rest of Dream gave him weird looks.

"What's wrong?" Renjun asked him.
