"Lani which one?" Skylar asked holding up two dresses "hmm I say the red one" I smiled looking at her then back at my phone.

"You're not going on the party?" She asked from the bathroom

"No" I said and she walked out with a questioning look "I just don't feel like going" I said and she nodded

"Come on it's gonna be fun" she sat on my bed "it's gonna be like every other party" I looked at her

"And? Something might happen?" She said "like what?" I crossed my arms

"I don't know kinda like would happen in middle school or high school, there would be like 3 fights, some kids getting caught doing drugs, you'd have a sub and the class would be wild...i don't know" she smiled

"Nah I think I prefer missing out I just don't have the energy to go" I said "alright see you there if you change your mind" she said then left

I sighed and just stared at the ceiling.

This past week has been different.

Avani and Sophia don't really talk to me as much as we used too, Xavier and I have gotten into arguments over small shit, Skylar and I are somewhat like best friends, and Mattia....I don't know about him.

I heard a knock on the door and went to open it "can I help you?" I asked looking at Mattia "is sky here?" He asked "she left a couple minutes ago" I said

"Did she tell you where she was heading?" He asked

He looked somewhat worried but like concerned I don't know how to explain.

"She said she was heading to the party tonight" I said and he looked at me for a while "what?" I looked at him farrowing my eyebrows

"You're not goin?" He asked "nope" I smiled "why not?" He asked "just don't feel like going?" I said

"Hmm okay...well I gotta get going oh and tell that friend of yours to leave me alone and let him know I have a girlfriend" he said "what?" I said confused

"Please and thank you bye child" he smiled "child? I know you're not talking ferb dinosaur looking ass" I crossed my arms and he gasped looking at me

"I'm offended" he laughed "you call me child" I crossed my arms

"yea cuz your short" he smiled walking closer the me "see I have the basically squat to he face to face with you" he said as our faces were just a couple inches apart

"Bye Mattia" I moved back "bye Lani" he said with THAT smile you know the hot kind of smile I don't know but it gave be butterflies.

I closed the door and as I walked back to my bed there was a knock on the door again. "Wow what brings you here?" I asked

"Him" he said

"Are you fucking serious? Why does he bother you so much he has a girlfriend you know that right they've been together since freshmen year" I said then turned around and walked to my bed

He followed behind after closing the door and stop infront of me.

"Have you seen the way he looks at you in class, when we would out to get food or something I seen how he wouldn't keep his eyes off you" he said

"Why do you fucking care?" I sat up and looked him in the eye.

He didn't say anything.

"Lani I-.....I don't know I just don't get good vibes off him" he said looking away

"You don't even know him stupid" I smiled "still I don't like the energy he gives off" he looked at me with a small smile "leave the guy alone" I shook my head

He looked at me with a smile on his face, I don't know how but he never looked at me that way, it wasn't creepy it was kinda cute.

"Is there something on my face?" I asked and he shook his head "you're not going to the party?" He asked "nope" I smiled

"Damn we'll see you tomorrow" he said and I followed him to the door "bye bitch" I smiled "bye princess" he chuckled hugging me back.

After that we left and the rest of that night I FaceTimed my madre and Omar.

I tuned my computer off after a while then laid down and tried falling asleep then out of no where the door slams open and Skylar walks in with mascara running down her face.

"Hey everything okay?" I stood up "I fucked up" she cried "come here" I pulled her into a hug "I'm so stupid...why?!" She cried

"Okay look take a couple deep breaths then we'll figure it out okay don't worry" I said calming her down

After a couple minutes she calmed out a little then she laid down on her bed still crying but not as much.

"Almost 5 years" she said trying to hold in her tears "and I fucked it up big time" she said

"You cheated...didn't you?" I looked at her wiping her tears

She stayed silent for a couple seconds, "yes I did, and you have no fucking idea how much I regret it" she said

"If only you could see the pain in his eyes....I wanna fucking die how could I been this stupid? How? Just how" she said coving her face with a pillow

"Everything will get better, but for now you just need to rest and tomorrow- we'll see what we do" I stroked her hair

"There's nothing...absolutely nothing we can do" she said willing her tears

"Just get some sleep okay?" I gave her a small smile "okay" she whispered then closed her eyes and I stood up turning off the lights then laying back down on my bed and fell asleep.
