I told my mom Mattia was on his way and she let the rest of the family know.

"Aye was Avenue coming over?" Omar asked coming into the living room from the kitchen

"Bruh I forgot about her" Joey laughed "yea they got stuck in traffic but she said they were close" I said with a serious face

"What She even lets me call her Avenue" he said taking a sip from his beer.

"Whatever" I said then got a call from Alejandro.

Lani😇: hey
Ale🙈: is Mattia at your house?
Lani😇: um not yet he called me a couple minutes ago when he left your house.
Ale🙈: my house?? Oh shit I forgot oh okay yea sorry I'm just a bit tipsy
Lani😇: alright bye monkey
Ale🙈: bye child
Lani😇: excuse me wha-

"Wow okay" I said after he hung up

"What happened?" Omar farrowed his eye brow "nothing" I said then the door bell rang

"Hey babe" Mattia smiled with some sort of pie in his hands "hey" I smiled then kissed his cheek before taking the pie from his hands.

"alright everyone, let's eat!" I said and everyone gathered by the table and the younger kids sat at a different table not far from the one the older ones sat.

"Thank god we got here on time" avani said "Avenue!" Omar yelled with a smile "oatmeal!" She yelled back with the same energy then they went for a hug

Every one laughed then we took our seat.

We prayed and after that one by one everyone said something they were grateful for, some made us laugh and others made us "Aww"

"Alright let's eat" my uncle said and everyone started to talk amongst themselves as we had our food.

"I'm here! Sorry" Sophia said waving. Everyone waved at her then she sat down infront of me.

"I haven't seen you in a while" avani and I both said looking at Sophia "yea sorry Derek and I went on a trip and well we moved into a house just a couple days ago" she said

"What about your classes?" Avani asked her "well I'm doing them at home this month, the teachers sent me the notes and all the work we need to do" she smiled

"Oh alright well let's plan something out like the old days you know" I said "oouu yes please" avani smiled in excitement

"Ooh can we go too?!" Omar and Joey said "um no the fuck" I looked at Omar

"You said like the old times...we used to go with you guys" Omar said

"But we're older now we don't need you guys to be with us" avani said "true...let them get kidnapped" Joey said "fuck you" Sophia said

We all laugh a little and kept taking.

I noticed Sophia and Mattia give each other looks. I was going to say something to them but then Joey made a joke out of it.
