Mattia blinked when the costa rican jumped into his arms.
Mattia was shaken awake. He tended up and his eyes slowly opened. His vision focused and he relaxed. It was only Randy. The italian sat up and rubbed at his eyes wearily.
"Pensavo potessi avere fame." Randy said softly as he gestured to a tray of food sitting on his lap. Mattia's lips curled into a small smile. "Yes, I am.. thank you.. what's your name again? Sorry I-"
Randy chuckled and hushed the rambling italian. "È Randy." The mexican said smoothly, making Mattia blink to focus. "Could you say mine?" The italian asked shyly.
Randy smiled, then spoke. "Ti chiami Mattia Polibio, piccolino." Mattia's face turned red and he shied away. Randy make a click nose and set the try down on the bed. He got up and left the room.
A few hours later Randy rushed back into the room. Mattia furrowed his eyebrows, confused. "What's wrong?-" He asked, but was suddenly hushed.
"I'm gonna help you get out of here, Matti." Mattia stared at the mexican, dumbfounded. That was the first time he had heard him speak english. Randy sighed and picked the italian up.
"Now, I know you're a little chunky, princess but it's alright. You'll fit through the window, won't you?" Mattia crossed his arms. "For one, I am not chunky! And for two, yes I can fit through the window.
"Good." Randy lifted the italian up and onto his shoulders. Mattia bit his lip and busted the window open. Randy smiled. "Be careful, don't cut yourself on any glass. Mattia knocked out every bit of the glass and crawled through. He was now on ground level.
He turned around and looked back in at the mexican. "Aren't you coming?" He said softly. The mexican looked around and then back at the italian. He shook his head.
Mattia groaned. "Yes you are, now give me your hand." Mattia tightly gripped the mexican's hand and helped pull him up. Just as Randy made it out the sound of a slamming door startled the two.
"Run." Randy said quietly as he took off into the woods. Mattia stared at him for a moment before realizing what he had said. He took off after the mexican.
It was now dark. Mattia followed behind Randy. He was walking slowly when he heard the sounds of cars. He perked up and looked at Randy who had been watching him.
He walked up beside the mexican and looked out. "I believe that is your house, beautiful." The mexican said softly as he looked at the italian. Mattia looked at the house and nodded.
"I'll have your car in your driveway tomorrow, it'll be alright." Randy said as he began to walk away. "But what about you?" Mattia asked. Randy shrugged. "It won't be hard for me, i'll be just fine out here by myself."
The mexican disappeared into the trees, leaving the italian with many questions. He raced down to the bottom of the hill and went to the front of the house. He got onto the porch and knocked on the door.
A sulken looking Alejandro answered, but his expression changed as soon as he seen the italian. "Mattia! Where were you? I- I was so worried.. I thought I'd never see you again!"
Mattia blinked when the costa rican jumped into his arms. He hugged Alejandro affectionately and kissed his cheek. "I've been.. around. I'm alright, though. I was gone longer than expected. I didn't have service."
The costa rican nodded. "Come inside, you smell horrible." The italian chuckled and stepped inside of the house. It wasn't as he had left it. It was clean and neat. Alejandro probably had nothing else to do in the two days and a half that he was gone, so he cleaned.
Mattia went downstairs, got a pair of clothes ready, and got into the shower.
