When the costa rican made it outside he looked around. He didn't know what he was even doing. His brain felt foggy. He felt light headed, even.

He flinched when he heard the loud steps of Mattia Polibio. Alejandro kept his eyes on the sidewalk, not wanting to look up at the italian.

Mattia stuffed his hands into his pockets and leaned down beside the costa rican. "Baby i'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner.. I-I was afraid you wouldn't like me anymore for it." Alejandro looked up at the italian who had a look of sorrow in his eyes. The shorter boy shrugged.

"I want you to be truthful with me, Mattia. And it hurts me when you aren't." Alejandro's voice was high pitched as he was trying to keep himself from crying.

"It's for my own safety, Alejandro. When you're boss you have to be careful, everyone is always trying to hunt you down.. you should know this." The italian stood up and held out his hand.

Alejandro sighed and looked at the ground again before looking back up at Mattia. He grabbed Mattia's hand and the italian pulled him up, his plump lips curling into a soft smile.

Mattia and Alejandro held out their arms at the same time. They both giggled softly and wrapped their arms around each other. Mattia held Alejandro so tight the older boy could barely breathe.

They felt as if they could stay like this forever. Mattia pulled away from Alejandro and the costa rican's eyes widened. "M-mattia wait! Behind y-" Alejandro reached for his gun but it was too late.

Mattia furrowed his eyebrows and his hand went to grip his lower stomach. Instead, his hand met a cold plastic. A knife had been shoved into the italian's abdomen.

Alejandro pulled his gun from his belt and shot the man directly in the chest before throwing his gun down. Mattia dropped down onto his knees, blood beginning to ooze from his mouth. Alejandro squatted down beside Mattia, tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

Alejandro slowly caressed the italian's cheek and chin. "Mattia i-i'm so sorry." Mattia shook his head slowly. "It's okay baby, I forgive you." Alejandro broke into an uncontrollable sob. "Please don't leave me, I love you so much."

Mattia grabbed his lovers chin and smiled slightly, tears now brimming his own eyes. "Baby, i'm always gonna be here." His voice broke and he pointed to the costa rican's heart.

"I will never leave you. I love you."Mattia's voice became raspy. "I love you too." Mattia's hand slowly slipped down the costa rican's chin. His body became still, the only thing keeping him up was now Alejandro's hands on the italian's hips.

Alejandro, who was still crying, set his lover down onto the ground gently. He sniffled loudly and began dialing 911, the whole time he talked to the operator he watched as Mattia's chest heaved slowly.

Alejandro shot up when he finally heard the sirens and shortly after seen the ambulance. Two people rushed out with a stretcher and put Mattia onto it.

While one of them ran them to the ambulance the other slowly and carefully removed the knife, then using their bare hands to apply pressure onto the wound.

"Do you wanna ride with us?" One of the paramedics asked, as they quickly loaded Mattia into the ambulance. Alejandro nodded and hopped in.

Alejandro stood away from the paramedics, letting them have their space. He stared at his lover's chest, watching it continue to heave slowly. One of the paramedics grabbed out a valve mask, placing it over Mattia's mouth and pumping the air into his lungs.

"What's his name?" The man, who was currently pumping the air into Mattia's lungs asked. "Mattia." The costa rican responded, voice breaking.

"Alright, Mattia. Stay with me now." The male paramedic said, watching as Mattia's breaths became a bit steadier then before.

The female paramedic grabbed some bandages and began wrapping them around the italian's waist, watching as Mattia made small movements from the pain.

The male paramedic put down the mask and took a towel, wiping at the blood on Mattia's mouth. The italian's eyes fluttered open, but quickly shut when the bright light hit his face.

Alejandro seen this and looked up at the male paramedic. He nodded and Alejandro rushed over to Mattia. Alejandro laid a hand on Mattia's chest, soothing him.

"Baby?" Mattia asked as his eyebrows furrowed and he opened his eyes to see his lover. Well, not exactly considering his vision was blurry. "Yes." Alejandro said, breaking down once again. Mattia smiled fondly and lifted a hand, caressing the costa rican's cheek slowly.

"It's you and I forever, right?" Mattia asked as he winced. Alejandro placed his hand over his lover's, nodding slowly. "Yes. Us forever." Alejandro's eyes began to water once again.

They got to the hospital and Alejandro moved out of the way, watching as Mattia was rushed into the hospital. Alejandro ran after them, not far behind. Mattia was pulled into a room and Alejandro paced in front of the door.

"Young man, I think it'd be best if you took a seat in the waiting room." A middle aged woman said, smiling slightly. "Yeah you're right." Alejandro walked to the waiting room and sat down, bouncing his leg nervously.

The image of the man stabbing Mattia in his side hit him over and over again. A sense of pain jolted through his body. Then when he shot the man, and when he dropped dead onto the concrete.

Alejandro ran a hand through his hair, the same way Mattia would whenever Mattia tried to sooth the costa rican. It always seem to calm Alejandro down a bit.

Alejandro leaned back in the chair. A short girl came out to the waiting room a few minutes later. "Mr. Rosario?" The costa rican got up and was pulled into a room.

"I'm sorry, but he didn't make it." Alejandro blinked and looked around. "Y-you're kidding, right?" The small girl shook her head and Alejandro bit his lip, silent tears beginning to spill from his eyes.

"I'm so sorry. The last audible thing we were able to hear from his was.." The girl paused as she tried to recall what he had said. "Tell him to take good care of Elijah for me, I know he can do it."
