Chapter 21- Maze

Becca's POV

I sit down on the couch and Hope comes and snuggles to my side.

We both cuddle more than I cuddle with Aiden.

She mews and I scratched under her ears and she purrs she has been with us for a month and we have fallen in love with her.

I had just puked all my breakfast. I have been puking a lot lately. Maybe I've caught some flu.

Tomorrow is the Halloween party and I'm so excited.

I have decided what to become.

Raven comes into the house and drops her bag on the table and sits on the dining table. She crosses her hands on the table and rests her head on it and sighs.

"Hey Birdy what's wrong"

"Nothing, I just got my period."

"Oh."

And then a realization dawns upon me. Oh god, I haven't had my period this month! I start freaking out.

Raven notices my change in the mood and comes up to me.

"Hey, Bec are you ok?"

"No Birdy, I haven't had my period this month...I think...I think I'm pregnant."

"What !! Have you had any symptoms?"

"I think so I have been puking a lot for the past month. I thought I had flu or something. And I was feeling very tired too."

"Did you take a test?"

"No, but... What will Aiden say... What if he doesn't want the baby....what if he breaks up with me..."

"Becca your hyperventilating breath...in...out....in....out...."

I follow her instructions and slowly calm my breathing.

"Now we are going to go to a pharmacy to buy a test and check. Ok?"

"What if it says positive?"

"Then we'll go to a doctor and take a real test if you're really pregnant you're going to tell Aiden. Ok, sweetie?"

"Ok."

"Don't worry Bec even if Aiden is not here I will be with you. I can be the baby's godmother."

That causes a smile to appear on my face and I hug her. I'm so glad I have a best friend like her.

I was now sitting on the closed toilet in my bathroom. Raven was sitting on the edge of the bathtub.

I had taken two tests and we were now waiting for the results.

My phone beeps informing us that the test should be ready.

I look at Raven and she nods. I walk towards the counter where the test was and pick it up with trembling hands. And then I checked the second one.

Both of them had two bright pink lines.

I'm pregnant. Oh god, I'm going to be a mother.

"What does it say?"

"It's positive."

"Oh my God, I'm going to be an aunt." She squeaks and runs towards me and hugs me and I hug her back.

"You have to tell Aiden."

"Not now, I have to first go to a Doctor."

"I'll call the hospital and book you an appointment."

"What if I don't become a good mother?"

"Trust me Becca you'll be an amazing mother. You look after the cat as if it's a child then you'll look after a real child even better and don't worry the baby will have such an amazing godmother anyway."
