Becca's POV
I can hear a loud ringing and a beeping sound in my head.
My whole body hurts.
I slowly opened my eyes. I see bright light which blinds my eyes so I close them shut.
Fuck who the hell has such bright light.
Then all the incidents from Sunday night play in my mind.
Noah. My father. Tiana's father. Aiden's father. All the truth. Aiden. Then Caleb shooting me.
Shit am I in heaven? Is that what the bright light was? Fuck!
I slowly opened my eyes again but squinted them. My eyes then adjusted to the light. My eyes wandered around the room.
I was lying on my back on a not so comfy bed. A heartbeat monitor was attached to my left hand.
Oh, I'm in a hospital. That means I'm not dead. Thank god.
I lift my right hand which pulls the plug of the heart monitor which in turn makes the glass flask on the table next to the bed to fall.
The glass shattered into a thousand pieces. The sound echoes around the room. It was so loud that I wanted to close my ears with my hands but couldn't due to the tubes attached.
A nurse rushes into the room. Her eyes were wide. She looked at me then at the shattered glass then sighed seeing that I wasn't harmed.
She walks towards my bed and presses a button on top of my head.
Then she does something with the various monitors in the room and writes something down on a small clipboard in her hand.
"The doctor will be here soon and I'll send someone to clean this up." She says smiling at me.
I nodded and smiled back.
She handed me a cup of water and went out.
After drinking the water I tried to keep the cup on the table but couldn't because of the tubes and pain. So I just threw it on the table.
After a minute a doctor walked inside the room.
"Hello, Rebecca is it?" She asks happily.
What the fuck is she happy about. I'm in a hospital bed. My left hand is in a cast and my shoulder is bandaged completely.
I just nod and she starts checking me up.
"Everything seems alright. Your family is here. Are you ok if they come in?" She asks to which I just nod.
She walks out and a free 23 seconds, yes I was counting it's not like I have anything else to do, my dad walks in followed by my aunt, uncle, Aiden, my brother Liam.
How the hell did he get here? He has been MIA for the whole year. But his presence was not the one which surprised me the most.
Behind Liam, a lean guy walked in. I recognized him immediately.
Nick. The guy from my first day of college. The one I saved from Aiden's wrath.
I looked at him surprised and drew my eyebrows together. He just looked at me and gave me a small smile.
My dad stood next to me. He held my right hand between his palms and kisses it.
"How are you feeling sweetheart?" He asks. His blue eyes were so soft and held so much love in them. It felt so good to know that my father was alive.
"I'm fine dad," I say on the verge of tears. From the corner of my eye, I saw Aiden walk towards the far end of the room and stood there with his right leg leaning on the wall.
