Chapter 39- Berkley and Yale

Becca's POV

We were standing at the grave right now in Rome. Everyone was here. 

My father, Nick, Raven, Aura's husband Charles, Kade, Kayla, Sean, Marcus, and of course Aiden.

We were burying her at her family's private gravesite. It was just a close family only ceremony but before this, we had a ceremony at the church for other people too.

Aiden was really sad. I haven't left his side for even a minute since Aura's death.

After Jonathan shot Aura, Aiden shot him in the heart and my father shot him in his forehead. My dad loves headshots though.

And Nick shot Tiana's leg so she couldn't run away again. She was now in jail for a lifetime. The punishment was actually less but my father had a lot of connections so he somehow made it for a lifetime.

May she rot in hell. No, May she rot in jail.

Everything was well except for the presence of Aura. She would have been a really good mother-in-law.

Aiden was standing next to me. His body was stiff. He had a beard growing and his eyes had black bags below them. He looked tired and worn out.

Aura's death has taken a toll on him. I have seen him cry himself to sleep a few nights holding her photo when he thought I was asleep.

I hold onto his arm and kiss his shoulder and rub his arm trying to soothe him a little. He closes his eyes and a lone tear rolls down his eye.

I lift my hand up and wipe the tear away.

No matter what happens Aiden I'll always be by your side. You are the best thing in my life and I'm not going to lose you till death does us apart.

I love you.

( Three years later)

Today was my graduation from Redwood college.

I got into Yale. Aiden got into UC  Berkeley two years ago.

It's been a little difficult because you know he's in a faraway place. It's not that far,  I mean it's only 40 hours drive but we can't be together.

I'll have to admit we have had a few fights but who doesn't. After all, life's not a complete fairy tale. He calls me every day and we meet up on weekends. Sometimes he drives here and sometimes I visit him there.

He was doing a major in Business administration and management. I was taking an architecture major. These next two years were going to be a little more difficult because you know he was going to be in Cali and I will be all the way across Europe.

But after that, he would complete his University and be going to take care of his dad's hotel in New York. He actually didn't want to but everybody kind of forced him into it.

So we'll be together after two years.

( Two and a half years later. )

I walked into my house in New York. It was a beautiful two-storied apartment just opposite to Central Park.

I walk into the living room and see Aiden sitting on the couch and working on something on his laptop.

I went behind him and wrapped my hands around him and kissed his cheek.

"Hi, Hotdog."

He turned his head and pecked me on my lips.
