Too Familiar

All I know is that I called for Eddie's name when, who I thought was Spider-man in a black suit came up to me, offered me a ride, but I said no but was scooped up anyway and flying through the air. I shut my eyes tight when the black figure dropped me, I scream but my hand is caught by his black string. I looked up at the man, thinking he'd let me down but he attached me to the track of the loop in the Thunderbolt coaster. I grip onto the string with both hands, my heart pounding my ear as I lose control of my breathing. Hanging on by a thread and seeing the worried and shocked faces below. "JesusJesusJesusJesus." This is it. Is this it? Oh my god.

I looked up, seeing a red figure coming towards me when the imposter in black kicked him to the ground. "Fucking hell!" Why did it have to be me, god. I close my eyes as I hear the coaster come down the large drop. I feel the thread loosen before breaking, I scream. In mid air, an arm wraps around me and holds me close, his grip struggling; my eyes open to see Spider-Man, I was grabbing onto him when the man in black countered Spider-man, swinging from the opposite direction and punching Spider-man in the gut, causing him to be thrown in the other direction and letting go of me. I start falling, grabbing onto the bars of the coaster quickly. I hyperventilate... Trying to keep hold of the bars of the coaster. I watch from above Spider-man and the man on the ground. The two battling as Spider-man looked to be trying his best to keep the civilians safe, they all started to evacuate and head to the exit, but a few people stayed and took out their cameras.

I attempt to pull myself up onto the bar, or atleast get my foot to hook onto something but I'm unable to... Spider-man hits the man with a trashcan and then dodges a large blow before shooting a web right beside the bar I'm hanging onto. He zips up and sticks onto the bar, "I got you." He said, hanging down with me and wrapping his arm around me, getting a better grip than before. I wrap myself around him as he swings to me to the other top of a short building. I shut my eyes tight and bury my face into his shoulder. I'm set down gently and sink to my knees, needing to feel close to the ground. I put my hands to my face, wanting to feel safe and stop my body from shaking. My eyes were welling up with tears. Spider-man kneels beside me, "heyhey..." He said gently, moving my hands from my face before putting his hands on my cheeks, causing me to look at him. He looked as if he was making sure I wasn't injured anywhere else. He then spoke, a little out of breath himself. "It's ok... I'm here..."

What... Did you just say? My eyes widen, looking at the masked face in front of me. My mouth opened but couldn't speak.

He composed himself, letting me go awkwardly, "Um, ma'am, it's ok, you're safe now." He looked behind me and his eyes widened, he pushed me out of the way before the large man kicked Spider-Man into the building so hard the ceiling broke through, Spider-man landing in the gift shop below. I wince for him, Jesus christ. I backed away seeing the large figure looming over the hole in the roof but his interest was no longer on me. I make my escape down the roof and run to the beach. I'm stopped in my tracks as I turn back towards the fight, left agape.
