New York's Underworld

The night sky was covered with clouds, not a star in sight as I sat on the railing that lined the roof of the police building. Yuri leaned her elbows on it and took a deep breath in, "Hammerhead has been a problem for too long now. I feel like I'm on the brink of losing my job if we can't pin him."

"Don't be so hard on yourself, you're the best detective this place has." I say, before adding, "He's been keeping very low, but the good news is we found out that Oscorp has been selling them the weapons. As for what Hammerhead's goal is, he's trying to get back territory from Kingpin most likely..."

             "Who?"

             "Wilson Fisk."

"The billionaire? He sells spices, he's one of the biggest businessmen in New York."

I scoff, "He's also a crime lord and one of the most powerful gang leaders in New York's underworld."

Yuri's eyes widened, "Really? How do you know?"

             "We've had our run-ins."

"Is there anyone else I need to know about?"

"You guys got Sandman and Rhino?"

             "Yes, they're in the super-Max."

"Then I would just worry about Hammerhead and Fisk right now. They're going head to head."

             "Yeah..."

I turn my attention to the city, "I should get going." I stand up, "You going to be alright?"

"I'll try my best to take my mind off of this."

"Cool." I jump up and wave a goodbye in the air, "See ya." I start swinging home, taking the long way in case any other small crimes are happening. I land onto a billboard sticking out the side of a building, seemingly for no reason. I look down at the cars below, not seeing anything out of the ordinary. Then my spidey sense started going off, I lean back quickly, almost going into a backbend as an arrow hits the billboard. An arrow? I stand back up and look in the direction it came from before I quickly dodge a few more arrows. I see the person in the shadows so I jump and swing over to the building, perching on the ledge, "Who are you?" I ask the shirtless bearded man. I got a good look at him as I noticed he was buff and wore orange pants and tiger's fur as a vest with a hood that was lined with what seemed to be a lion's mane. His hair was black and short accompanied with a thick goatee. He had a bow and arrow in his hands but he puts it away as he then says:

"The creature speaks..." he had a thick Russian accent.

           "Huh-"

"I'm Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff, from mother Russia." He says, pulling out two machetes.

           "Why'd you come here?"

"To find noble prey." He then starts swinging his machetes and I dodge them as I jump over him and land behind him, but his reflexes are fast and he swings down and I quickly jump off the roof but he jumps on top of me, wrapping his arms tightly around me, "What's the game here?" I say, barley getting the words out as I struggled to break free. He only holds in tighter, "No prey has ever escaped Kraven's grasp-"

"We're speaking in the third person now?" I ask, flipping over and sticking onto the side of a building. This causes Kraven to lose grip and he lets go, starting to fall to the ground but I catch him with my webs and then crawl down the wall to be level with him. "Interesting..." Kravin says to himself.
