ENJOY!!!!!

Rider’s P.O.V

The next day I woke a bit shaky. Last night I could’ve sworn that I heard the front door open and close, slamming each time. In the distance I heard some voices scream before I heard footsteps running. I crawled out of bed and got up with the help of my crutches. I headed outside my bedroom. Roux’s door was open. He laid on his bed in nothing, but boxers. His hard, wash-board abs shifting up and down as he breathed. I tried not to drool at how sexy he was. I struggled going down the spiral steps before I actually made it to the kitchen. The walls were a faint, pale yellow. The cabins a rich, hardy brown made of wood and the refrigerator was steel. The table at the center was made of stones and had a white gleam to it. I went around the table and opened the fridge. There were so many healthy foods! No wonder he was in excellent shape. Hasn’t this guy heard of chocolate!?! I sighed a bit disappointed.

“What happened? Don’t like any of the food in there?” Roux voice came behind me, scratchy.

I jumped a bit surprised before facing him. He was still in his boxers, only he had a t-shirt on now. “Um, there’s no chocolate?” It sounded like a question.

He laughed a bit, before smiling. “In the cabin.” He pointed out. He strolled over to it and pulled out a chocolate bar for me. He handed it to me with a smile. “Good morning.”

I didn’t want him to get the idea he was dazzling me so I just nodded. “So do I have to call you dad or is Roux just fine?” I asked sarcastically.

He scowled at me. “Roux is just fine, Rider.” He said patiently.

“So what’s the story? Do you have any friends? Are you in college? Do you have a girlfriend?” I didn’t mean to ask the last question, but it just slipped out.

He smirked and came up behind me. Placing both his hands on either sides of my hips. “Why? Want all of me?” He asked huskily in my ear.

I shivered. “No.” I whispered. He chuckled in my ear.

“You sure about that?” There was a mocking tone in his voice.

I spun to face him. “Yes.”

He bit his lip and stared at me. “Okay.” He said peppy. Ugh, I hated him already!

“You didn’t answer my questions!” I asked, turning red.

“No, I’m not in college. I’m a business man…I’ve actually taken over my dads business.” His eyes trailed along the walls. “I don’t have that many friends.” He said distantly and sharp.

“Why not?” I leaned against the counter.

“What about you? Do you have any friends?” His eye bated me.

“Um, not really.” I felt uncomfortable under his gaze.

“Well, that’s not hard to believe.” He joked. I glared at him.

“Why is that?” I raised an eyebrow.

“You seem…” He tapped his chin for dramatic effect. “Snobby.” He said dismissively.

I gasped. “I am not snobby!” I protested.

He gave me a dubious look. “You’re stuck up! Admit it!”

“How am I stuck up?” I raised an eyebrow.

“I’m pretty sure you were raised to be prim and proper.” He sounded bored. I grabbed my crutches and headed toward the living room. “Oh, no come back?” He laughed. He strutted into the room.

“You don’t know anything.” I shook my head.

His eyes shifted to the window. “Listen, I didn’t explain to you that there are some rules and regulations to living in my home.” He gave me a dark glance.

                 >>THREE WEEKS LATER<<

“Is that good enough?” I grunted.

Roux titled his head to the side and studied me for a moment. “Eh, it’ll do.”

“What do you mean it’ll do!?!” My face getting red from anger. Ever since my leg got better, Roux thought it would be funny to make me his ‘maid’, but I was more like his pet and it really pissed me off! I worked my ass of to make everything perfect, but he was never satisfied with any of the things I’d done.

“I mean, I’m pretty sure you could fluff a pillow better then that.” He said sarcastically.

“Listen you-” The doorbell cut me off. I turned to Roux. He gave me an expecting look. “What? I’m not going to answer the door. This ain’t my house!”

He rolled his eyes and sighed. He waltzed over to the door and tugged it open. I hid by the rooms entrance. There was a lanky boy, about my age, standing at the door. His skin was pale and his eyes were as black as night. He had golden, shaggy hair. He sniffed the air for a moment before settling a glance at Roux. His lips curled into an amused smile. “She’s here, isn’t she?” His voice was deep, almost charming, but not as smooth or gruff as Roux’s.

Roux shoulders suddenly straightened and his stance was defensive. “Maybe she is.” He sounded bored. “If she were, I don’t understand how that would be any of your business.” I could tell by the tone in his voice that he’d given him a sharp look.

The mysterious boy’s eyes wandered around until they shifted back to Roux. “You know, you can’t keep her forever. They others will…” He trailed off searching for the appropriate word.

“Worried?” Roux suggested.

“Suspicious.” His lips a hard line. “Can’t handle it, Roux? Wouldn’t want to disappoint your father again, would we?” He teased. I thought Roux said his family had died?

I could tell by the way his head snapped that he was angry. “I don’t see how my father could know the status of anything. I’m banished, remember?” His tone uneasy.

“That was because of what happened with Aria.” The blonde boy leaned against the door. He raised a mocking eyebrow.

“Aria kept running away. It wasn’t anyone’s fault.” He said with acid.

The blonde boys eyes scanned the house before he found me and smirked. “Well, let’s just hope that you don’t let this one die.” He winked at me. I felt pure ice entrap my body. I didn’t know what it was about him, but my entire body felt chilled to the core.

Just as I thought of retreating, Roux spun to see me. Our eyes connected for a moment. I looked away, but as my eyes landed by the door, the blonde haired boy had disappeared. Roux slammed the door shut and stomped over to me. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” He yelled at me.

I stepped back afraid. His brown, hazel eyes filled with fury. “I-I was just…” I trailed off, not knowing what to do.

“Just what? Tried to be nosy?” He waited impatiently for my response.

“What was he talking about?” I scowled at him.

He shook his head laughing. “Oh, no! You don’t get to try and turn this around on me.” He took a step closer to me. I was pinned against the wall. He lowered his face into mine. “If you know what’s good for you, you’d stay out of my way and out of my business.” He glared at me.
