As the Tuesday school day rolled around after telling Flynn about the boys, Holland was in a terrible mood. Los Feliz always held pep rally's on Monday's, followed by a spirit week following leading up to some big event occurring the Friday. This Friday was a dance that the Student Council had organized.
Normally, Holland loved dances. But with a boyfriend on her nerves that she currently wasn't speaking to, she wasn't in the mood for this one.
As she shut her locker, her heart skipped a beat as she she saw the three boys standing directly behind her locker, grinning at her. She looked around quickly before putting in one of her airpods, Alex holding up his hands, clearing offended.
"We come visit you at school and this is what we get? You pretending that we aren't here-"
"No one else can see you so I don't want to talk to air. The janitor already thinks that Julie and I are psychotic," she reminded the boys, tapping on the headphone. "This way, at least I can tell people I'm on a phone call instead."
"Well, aren't you just a smartie-pants," Holland shot Luke a glare as the boys laughed.
With a roll of her eyes she stalked off down the hallway toward the music room, since she had a free period at the moment. The boys were hot on her tail.
"Why are you guys even here?" Holland asked as she opened the doors to the empty practice room, placing her stuff down by the piano. "Because we are not going to make a habit of you guys following Julie and I to school, too."
"We came to talk to Julie about some song ideas," her brother informed her as they leaned on the piano in front of her. "But she's really wrapped up with Flynn right now...so we came to find you instead!"
"How sweet of you, to choose me second," she shot back sarcastically, opening her notebook full of music before Luke took it from her, flipping through the pages. "Why couldn't you guys wait until after school? Mom and my dad will be out tonight, you could've just poofed over."
"Because I need to ask you something, super important," Alex replied before Reggie could. He pointed to her cellphone. "I have been listening to that...what's it called...Spotify! Yeah, when you pulled it up on Julie's laptop for us. I need to know what the heck WAP is."
"Nope," Holland said quickly with a shake of her head, a grin on her lips though as she looked at Alex. "I am not getting into that right now. Or ever, actually."
"Oh come on! I have been listening to it nonstop!"
"Seriously, he has-"
"What's this one? It's called Long Live," Holland turned her attention away from her brother and Alex, looking over to Luke as he held up her song book to the pages containing one of her oldest songs.
"One of the first songs I ever wrote," she told him simply, playing a few key notes on the piano before her before looking between the guys. "Actually won me an award when I was eleven."
