Julie and Flynn entered the club with Holland in tow, coming to a stop not far from the stage. There was one more act on before Julie and the boys, so they knew they were going to have to wait a little while.
"You gotta be kidding me," Flynn groaned as the announcer said that Dirty Candy was up next. "How'd she even get on the list?"
"Daddy's money, no doubt," Holland muttered as she leaned against the pole behind her as Carrie took her place in the middle of the stage, the rest of the girls joining her. Her eyes narrowed at the sight of Kayla, who seemed to catch her eye for a moment before turning away quickly. "I like the vest choice tonight, Julie."
"Thank you. It was my mom's," Flynn and the girl gave her a smile as she played with the dahlia pin on the jacket. Her mom's favorite flower.
The lights dimmed on the stage as Holland let out another sigh, knowing she was going to hate this.
"Whenever I walk in the room, all the focus on me," Carrie threw her glasses off, striking a pose as the crowd clapped, her girls striking similar poses along with her.
"Gag me with a spoon," Flynn snorted at Holland's comment. "She should spend some of her choreography money on a song writer. They just keep getting worse."
As the song went on, there was a slight poof beside her as Holland looked up, grinning at the boys as they joined in. Julie turned, smiling at the boys quickly before looking back to the performance.
Holland was hating every second of it until suddenly, Alex was standing center stage right behind Carrie. She had to psychically cover her mouth to conceal her laugh as he danced along with the girls, truly in his element doing the dance.
She stole a glance up at Luke and Reggie, seeing big smiles on their faces as they watched Alex dance up on the stage. Luke turned, catching Holland looking up at them as he sent her a wink, just as Alex reappeared beside them all.
"You having fun out there?" Julie questioned him with a laugh.
"It's not my fault. It's my, um...it's my feet,"
"Whatever you say Alex," Holland muttered with a laugh as he pointed at her.
"Watch it, or I will break out the WAP dance," the girl groaned as the boys laughed, Alex turning back to the stage. "Put me back in, coach."
Flynn gave the girls a look, before realizing why they were seemingly talking to themselves and turning back to the show at hand.
Luke couldn't help but watch as Holland laughed, dancing along to the little dances that Alex was doing on stage. He bit his lip, feeling warm inside just at the sight of her being happy. Reggie's elbow drew him out of his trance as he looked over, Reggie wiggling his eyebrows at his friend before Luke gently shoved him off.
The three girls reluctantly clapped along with the audience as the performance ended, Alex returning to his spot with the group. Carrie gave a final wave to the audience before her and the rest of the girls descended the stage.
