"Wait, so you're telling me there's three different Spider-Man movies?"
"I mean, there's a lot more than three movies, but there's three franchises-"
"So wait, do they all exist in this universe or-"
"Luke, please stop asking questions and just watch,"
The groan that fell out of Luke Patterson's lips brought a smile to Holland's face, a laugh tumbling from her lips as he dramatically threw himself back into the pillows on the bed, placing one on his face as the first Iron Man still played in the background.
With a roll of her eyes, Holland took the pillow off of his face, looking down on him with a grin that he matched. A smile that spoke a thousand words for the pair.
"It's a little hard to watch with such a distraction next to me..." Luke trailed off with a cheeky smile, his hand coming up to hold her cheek. Holland placed her hand over his, nuzzling into his hand as a swarm of butterflies flew through the ghost's stomach.
"Which is why I warned you that you should just watch these with the boys-"
"Holland?" the girl and her ghost boyfriend broke apart quickly as Holland fixed the pillows on the bed, pulling out her phone and pretending to be on it as Luke sat still on the bed, just watching her as her mother opened the door. "Everything okay up here? Sounds like you're talking to yourself."
"I was just on the phone with Julie, she said she'd be here soon," Holland told her mom as she waved her phone in her direction. It wasn't a complete lie, Julie and Flynn were on their way.
"Okay..." Holland's mother didn't completely buy it, but she wasn't going to push it right now. "Your dad and I actually have to go see Reggie's dad. Your dad found some stuff of his in the attic somewhere so we're going to go drop it off. Let the girls know I say hi!"
"I will mom, love you!"
Holland let out a sigh as her bedroom door finally closed behind her mother, tossing her phone back onto her nightstand. She twisted around in bed to look back at Luke, raising an eyebrow as she saw his eyes already on her.
"Have you been staring this entire time?"
"It's kind of hard to look away,"
Luke's lips were permanently plastered into a smile as he fell back into the pillows once more. He cocked his head, gesturing Holland toward him with a grin. She complied, shifting to lay beside him as she placed a hand on his chest, propping herself up to look at him. She studied him for a moment, just admiring him and the focused look on his face.
"Whatcha thinking about there, rockstar?"
Luke sighed, his smile dropping for a moment as his hand came up, moving her hair behind her cheek as he looked at her, thinking about his words.
