Ben POV

2100

Catherine was able to get us two military helicopters that could go 260 mph. Alexander was able to get two commando teams. Erica was able to get some weaponry with the helicopter.

"Here's the plan, Mike, Zoe, Mom, and Catherine are going to rendezvous with the commando teams on the west," I announced, "Me, Erica, Cyrus, and Alexander are going to go dark and approach the east side and use your distraction to hopefully stop the nuke."

Everyone nodded and hopped onto the helicopter. We took to the air. I picked out a long-range rifle with a thermal scope and some armor-piercing rounds. I also picked out a couple of grenades and some M9 threat pistols. I was going long-range because of my chest injury. Erica picked out some knives and pistols.

"Get some rest, buttercups this is a dawn operation," said Cyrus shouting into the bug and at us. I took a seat and Erica took the one next to me. I popped a painkiller so I wouldn't be woken up. Erica put her head on my shoulder and I put my head over hers.

I woke up to Erica shaking me up. We were nowhere near the drop zone but I got up nonetheless. I looked out the side saw nothing. I took an energy bar and kept my eyes open. Before I was able to finish the energy bar I dropped it in surprise.

We had three F-16's tailing us.

I ran to the cockpit and tapped Erica on the shoulder while she was talking to Cyrus.

"What?" she said in an exasperated tone.

"We may or may not have unmarked F-16's following us," I said quickly.

Erica had a look of surprise for a second and followed me to the bay.

"Should we fire at the pilot with armor-piercing rounds?"

"Yes,"

I fired at the pilot and the plane started losing altitude. I cocked my rifle and looked at Erica's plane.

"Shit, my rifle jammed," she said.

I fired at her plane and it started losing altitude. The last F-16 started opening fire on us. Bullet fire raked the cabin and I luckily took it out before any substantial damage occurred.

"All down sir!" I shouted over the alarm. Cyrus shut of the alarm and I started putting on my parachute.

We were thirty minutes from the drop zone.

Break formation repeat break formation heading to drop zone Alpha shouted Cyrus to the radio network.

We were 15 minutes from the dropzone.

Alexander came out of the cabin with a weak smile "It's time for drop,"

I bailed and saw Erica bailing with me. I pulled the parachute exactly when necessary. I put in my earpiece.

"Erica, Cyrus, Alexander do you copy,"

"Copy," said a slightly annoyed Erica.

"Copy," said Cyrus.

"Copy," said a panicking Alexander.

I pulled out my phone and checked their positions. I moved to Erica's position and found Erica untangling herself. I gave a hand and helped. 67 feet south was Cyrus so I jogged over there and found Cyrus drinking some water.

"Alexander meet up with us," said Erica.

Alexander was blown 300 feet to the west so I ran over and found Alexander curled up in a ball. Erica slapped him.

"Get to work!" she shouted in an angry tone. Alexander obediently got up and we started running the 20 miles to the building. It took us about an hour.

I took up a position at a building near the launching center. The rest of my team kept moving toward the building. I pulled out my rifle and started scanning the area. I  noticed a couple of unconscious guards. SPYDER had already came.

I looked at my team and their path ahead. I noticed SPYDER agents hidden and pulled out my radio.

"It's a trap, I repeat it's a trap," I shouted into the radio.

I heard three groans come from the radio. The rest of my team was captured.
