The rain poured outside as (y/m/n) put the last box in the trunk of their car. Her daughter, who wasn't all too pleased about this, sat in the passengers seat, drawing little shapes on the window with her fingers. "All set." Smiled her mother. "Can I do something real quick?" (Y/n) asked. "Of course. Make it quick though we have to get going."(Y/n) ran to (Y/d/n) and pulled him into one last hug. "I love you dad." She cried, clinging to him. He wiped the tears from her face. "I love you too sweet pea. I wish things could be different." He says, kissing his daughter on the forehead. "Me too dad. Me too."
Most people aren't too eager to leave everything familiar to them overnight, and (Y/n) (L/n) was a part of the majority. She was leaving behind her friends, her extended family, and everything she's ever known. The place where she took her first steps, said her first words, had her first Christmas. Gone.
(Y/m/n) looked over at her daughter with sympathy. She knew how hard this this was on her. Mostly, though, she felt bad that poor (Y/n) didn't even know why they had to leave.
"Honey, I know it's not what you wanted to do but it's a good opportunity." The woman said, patting (Y/n) on the head.
"I know, I know. And maybe I will like it there, but I doubt it."
"I am so proud of you for not arguing. We'll still visit."
"Thanks, mom." Mumbled the (h/c) girl. The car ride was dead silent as both (Y/m/n) and (y/n) cried quietly. Occasionally, (Y/n) would fall asleep or they'd stop at a gas station. The rain kept going on, keeping the mood droopy and sad. (Y/n) remembered dancing with her father during one particular storm.
(Y/n) took a second to look around the neighborhood, seeing that her house was one of the nicer ones. "(Y/n), sweetie, come on. Let's go put boxes away!" Yelled her mother from upstairs. (Y/n) sighed, grabbing one of her many boxes as her mom turned on some music for them to get motivated with.
It didn't take very long, considering how small her Room was. It was quite the hassle though, attempting to place things properly without all of her furniture. However, all of the hassle is totally worth it when her room is all set up. It definitely needed a paint job, lights, and some homey clutter to make it look lived in or at least like a room. But, for now, it worked.
It only took a few hours, but most of their stuff had been put away. (Y/n) plopped down on her makeshift bed that was mostly made of old sleeping bags. "Honey, I'm going to go grocery shopping ok? You can order yourself some pizza. I left a 20 on the table." Yelled (y/m/n) up the stairs. "Ok, thanks mom." (Y/n) yelled back.
20 minutes into eating, (y/n) heard a knock on the door. Her imagination went a little wild as she wondered if maybe it was a kidnapper. The (h/c) began to mentally plot her escape from them as she crept towards the door.
"Hello?" She asked, opening the door. "Hi! I'm Sharon Denbrough! This is my son Bill." The woman gave a warm smile, gesturing to a taller boy standing next to her. (Y/n) almost let out a sigh of relief, no kidnappers today. "H-Hi. It's n-n-n- shit! It's nice to m-meet you." He stutters, holding out his hand. (Y/n) had to admit, he was easy on the eyes. "(Y/n) (L/n)! It's nice to meet you too." The (h/c) girl smiles, holding her hand out. "And this is Georgie." Continues the woman, pointing to a boy that looks about 10. Georgie hides behind Bill awkwardly. "G-go say h-hi." Bill whispers. (Y/n) offers him a smile. Georgie smiles back and they shake hands. "My mom isn't home right now, she went grocery shopping." (Y/n) explains awkwardly, clutching the back of her elbow. Mrs. Denbrough hands her a plate of cookies and they say their goodbyes.
(Y/m/n) walks through the door with several bags, seeming out of breath. (Y/n) wants to pretend that she's sleeping but is too late as her mother calls out,"Honey could you help the young man out there who's carrying in bags? He said his name was Bill." (Y/n) was about to object, but she kind of felt bad, so, she headed outside to the car. Bill had his arms stuffed to the brim with stuff. "You good, Bill?" She asks, smiling at him a little. "Y-yeah."
"Thank you for helping. Such a sweet boy, right (Y/n)?"
(Y/m/n) smiles at him, then turning to wiggle her eyebrows at you. "Mom!" She whispers through gritted teeth. "Thank you for helping, though. It was real nice of ya Billy."Bill excuses himself politely and (Y/n) waves goodbye, smiling politely. The (h/c) girl wonders if maybe she could wait until tomorrow morning to shower, but then smells herself and decides that it would be better to not wait.
(Y/n) grabbed her book from her bag. 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower', her favorite book. After another 50 pages, she decides it's bed time. She looked out her window to see Georgie waving to her. She smiles and waves back, heading to bed.
'Maybe it won't be too bad here. I already know one of the people here so that's a plus.' Was her closing thought. It was funny though, she had seemed to completely and totally forget about the much dreaded thing she had to do tomorrow. School.
