If you were to ask (Y/n) why was going on in chemistry, you would most likely end up with a bunch of rambled nonsense, which is why she was taking the free time she had in between social events that she'd promised to attend tutoring.

She'd never admit that maybe she was in over her head, seeing as now everyone in school either wanted to be her, friends with her, or the cause of her death. It had gotten around school that she and Caiden were dating, and as the schools golden boy, that means that she got a lot of that recognition too.

(Y/n) wasn't complaining about being popular necessarily, just that it took a lot to keep up with her image. At school, (Y/n) was all smiles and friendly waves. At parties, the (h/c) girl was a fun-loving free spirited teen. With the Losers, she was a fun mess of a girl that loved everyone very genuinely. With Caiden, (Y/n) was a loyal girlfriend who cared for and loved her boyfriend deeply.

But, ultimately, at home (Y/n) was tired and just wanted to sleep after a long day. Not that she would say anything, but she felt like she was drowning. Don't get it twisted, she loved being friends with everyone and having fun all the time, but it drained the life and work ethic for school out of her.

This is why (Y/n) asked Stan to help her study to get her grades back up, seeing as they'd really slipped. Stan, being the sweetheart he is, agreed to help (Y/n). He could tell she needed him a lot more than he needed her right now. She was a mess, a beautiful one in his eyes, but a mess. He could tell that she had overworked herself to keep up the happiness in front of everyone, not like that would tarnish his view of her anyways.

On Friday nights, you'd think you would see (Y/n) at a wild house party, dancing with either Caiden or one of the Losers. But this Friday she was over at Stans house so that he could catch her up on what's going on in school.
"(Y/n), you're here." Stan smiles softly.
"I am, I am." The girl awkwardly finger guns.

A few hours go by, (Y/n)'s finally getting the hang of all of it, a lot of the schoolwork becoming less overwhelming due to Stan guiding her very gently. The thing Stan noticed worked the best was when he gave positive affirmations. They were simple things like, "Good job, (N/n)." Or, "There we go, that was great."

After getting the (h/c) girl all caught up, Stan found that (Y/n) was asleep. 'Poor thing,' he thought, 'I can't understand how exhausted she must be.' Stan thought she looked too peaceful to possibly disturb while she was curled into a ball, knees to her chest while she slept on his bed.

What a gentleman Stan was for taking the couch. Even though he hated sleeping on the couch and it wasn't the comfiest, he still left her be. He figured he'd call her mom and tell her that (Y/n) was staying over.
"Hi, this is (Y/m/n) speaking."
"It's Stan, (Y/n)'s friend, she fell asleep in my room. I assure you I won't try anything with your daughter-"
"Should I be worried that you thought I'd assume that you were going to?"
"No Ma'am, I'd just like to ask if she's allowed to stay here."
"Of course! Tell her to be home by dinner tomorrow."

So, Stan went to (take a long bath) sleep on the sofa.

A few hours later, (Y/n) woke up. She was covered in sweat from her nightmare about the same clown that plagued her dreams. In a bed that was not hers, in a room that was not hers, with a smell she knew to belong to someone else. She took a deep breath of relief when she realized she's just fallen asleep at Stans house.

(Y/n) wondered around to find Stan, sleeping on the couch. She poked him, no response, she poked him again, no response. "Stan!" She whisper yelled. He jumped up, jolting awake. Stan began to wipe the drool from his face. "What?" Breathed the boy. He sounded scared, so (Y/n) let him wake up a little first. "Can you get in your bed with me? Not in a romantic way, I just had a bad dream and I want someone there with me."
"Ok. Yeah."

Awkward. To fill you in, Stan was laying with his back turned to (Y/n), who was facing away from him as well. They took up opposite sides of the bed, not touching at all. Even worse, Stan was silent. Not fun.

Stan had stayed up for a few hours after that, to make sure he wouldn't fall asleep first in case she needed him again. (Y/n) was no longer on her side of the bed, but laying on Stans chest. He was completely stiff, up until the moment he fell asleep.

The two felt careless at this moment, not having to worry about child eating clowns or hideous paintings. They were comfortable with each other's embrace, it was nice to just have someone there.

Of course, Caiden and (Y/n) had slept over at each other's houses, but usually Caiden wouldn't just hold (Y/n). Sure, he'd touch her, but she just wanted to be held close to someone's heartbeat, feeling someone else's arms wrap around her.

I apologize for not updating this Friday. I had a personal issue but I'm feeling a lot better now. I'll be posting 3 parts this week before going back to my normal schedule. Since it's around the holidays, I don't want to forget to update.

It'll be Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday this week, not including this post (Sunday). I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend!
