"Why don't you go and get a washcloth or something to wipe her off with" "No, I'm not leaving her" "Damon, I'm gonna be right here, if she wakes up I'll be here and I'll let you know, ok?" "Stefan, I really-" "Damon, go it's fine, she needs all this sweat off her" He chuckled. "Promise you won't leave her, not for anything!?" I ask, well sorta demand, with tears in my eyes. "I promise, Damon, go" "Ok, I'll be right back" "Ok, Damon" I walk out of my room and it feels like everything is in slow motion.

Man, Damon really does love Maya. I'm just sitting on the edge of the bed, my hands on my head, thinking about how I'm gonna tell Elena about what's going on with Maya. When I hear a weak whisper, "St... Ste... Stefan" She coughed. "Maya, hey, Damon is so worried about you, how are you feeling?" All she did was shake her head and her eyes rolled behind her head. "Maya?" "Mm?" "You ok?" She shakes her head, and a tear falls down her face. "Whe... re's..." She coughed. "Da... Damon" "He's gonna be right back, ok?" "Stef...an... I want Da...Mon!" She cried. "Hey, he's gonna be here in a few seconds ok? Just relax" She cries, and I don't think it all has to do with Damon, I think most of it does, but she's hurting and Damon is who she wants when she's hurting, I get that, I want Elena when I'm hurting. "Hey, Maya, calm down, do you want me to go and get him?" "No! Don't leave me! Please!?" "Ok, ok, I won't" she grabs my hand and cries, coughing up blood. I've definitely never seen that. "Uh, Damon!" "Stefan, I'm scared!" She cries, coughing up more blood. "Maya! Hey, hey, hey, hey! Calm down! Calm down, I'm right here" "Da... Damon!" She said, and cried harder. "Um, I'll, let you two... Have some time" "Uh, hold on, Stef"

I never want Damon to leave me, to let me go, I'm miserable and I want him with me all day and night. Every second that I'm awake, I'm getting worse and worse by the minute, and I don't know if I want Damon to see that though. But, I also want him to be with me at the same time. Is that selfish? "Um, I'll, let you two... Have some time" "Uh, hold on, Stef" Damon said. "Damon" I whispered. "I'll be right over here, ok? Just try and get some sleep" "Bye, Maya" "Bye... Stef...an, thank you... For-" "Sh, your welcome just get some rest ok?" "Tell Elena I love her, and I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snuck out" "Your gonna be ok, Maya, you can tell her that yourself" Stefan said as I guess I fell asleep.

Maya fell asleep and now it's time to talk to Stefan. "Ok, um, what do we do?" "I don't know, Damon, I really don't know" "Huh, I don't want her to be suffering like this!" I scream, throwing something across the room, breaking it. "Hey, Damon, calm down, listen to me! She's going to be ok! We're gonna make sure of that" "How can we make sure of it when we have no idea what is causing it Stefan!?" "Sh, your gonna wake her up, do you want her suffering?" "No" "Maybe we should put her out of her-" "Are you insane?!" I yelled at Stefan as I threw him and then pushed him across the wall. "Damon, it was just a suggestion" "A suggestion that should never have came out of your mouth or ever in your head to begin with!" "Damon, let me go" "I don't think it's a good idea to tell Elena right now" "She deserves to know" "Yeah, but, we don't know what's going on yet, and everything is still a mess, I think we should wait" "Me... Too" I went to lay with her and make her feel more comfortable while Stefan we to do Stefan stuff. 'Hey, baby, how are you feeling?" "Not good" "I know it's my fault, I'm sorry" "No don't blame yourself please" "I'm so sorry this is happening to you" "Damon?" "Yeah, baby?" "I love you" "I love you too baby girl" "Promise you'll never leave me?" "I promise" "Until I'm gone anyway" "Hey, your not going anywhere" "Damon, just face it, I'm dying, I'm not gonna make it much longer" "Maya?!" Elena screams. "I thought you said you wouldn't tell her Stef... an!" "I didn't" "Maya, I love you so much!" "I love you, too Elena" A few minutes later, I cuddled up with Damon and fell asleep.

When I walk upstairs to see Stefan before school, I see Maya laying in Damon's bed. Pale, and covered in sweat, like that time when Rose and Damon where bitten by a werewolf. "Maya?!" I scream. "I thought you said you wouldn't tell her Stef...an!" "I didn't" "Maya, I love you so much!" "I love you, too Elena" A few minutes after that, she was asleep, cuddled up with Damon. "Damon, I think we should tell her downstairs" "I promised her I wouldn't leave her, and I'm keeping that promise" "Ok, then I guess we'll just have to explain it here then" "Hopefully she doesn't wake up and hear it, she'll be scared out of her mind" "I know I'm worried about that" "Here, Stefan, since you seem to know everything about it, why don't you go downstairs and tell her" She wakes up and coughs blood on Damon's shirt. "Sorry" "Its ok, don't worry about it" "I love you, Damon" "Aw, I know you do" He laughs. "I love you too Maya" I look at Stefan with a shocked expression on my face. 'I know' Stefan mouthed. "Damon" Maya whisper cries. "Yeah" Then she whispered something that I couldn't hear.

Maya feels uncomfortable with Elena and Stefan being here. I can tell she is, I am too. "Damon" Maya cries. "Yeah" "Can you... Make them go... Away?" "Guys, can you-?" "Yeah, I love you, Maya" "I love..." She started but coughed. "... Love you too" "Bye Maya" "St...Ste... Stefan?" "Yeah, Maya?" "Take care of... Elena" She said and I could see tears in her eyes, and some start falling. Stefan nods and smiles, then goes down the stairs to a crying and stressed out Elena. Stefan and Maya have definitely gotten close to each other, obviously their good friends now. He's really gonna miss her, I can tell, he had tears in his eyes too.
