"Why do you want me to decide this?" I asked incredulous.
"We came to this village for one reason: that was to recruit you to Laylania," Rida replied.
"So if you want to abandon this village it's okay because we never planned to save this village in the first place," Gadalka added.
I sighed as I thought about the situation I was in.
I had two choices: save the village that had spurned my existence or let it all be destroyed.
The people here weren't evil but they weren't exactly good either. They have hated me just because of the mark around my eye, not from anything I have done. Shouldn't they receive some sort of punishment? Wouldn't a monster attack on this village be like karma?
I know that they would kill me in a heartbeat. Why should I save them?
I shook my head as I tossed that thought away. I was not like the people here. I am not heartless.
I looked Rida in the eyes and said, "I want to save them".
Rida rubbed his hands together and said, "I was hoping you would say that Kasai".
"Now you need to train Kasai," Gadalka said calmly.
I nodded my head and asked, "Okay, when do I start training?"
Smiling Gadalka said, "After breakfast!"

I was sweating as I parried another one of Wudao's punches. I dodged to the right as Wudao punched again and I quickly spun to give a side kick but Wudao saw it coming. She caught my ankle in her hand and twisted it, using my momentum to make me fall on the ground.
Again.
Wudao offered me her hand and I took it with my right hand and used my left hand to rub the back of my legs.
"Why do I need how to learn to do a fist fight?" I complained for the tenth time.
Wudao waggled her finger at me and said, "You never know when you'll be in a situation and can't use your power over fire!"
"Easy for you to say, your power is strength!" I protested as I stretched out my arms.
"Trust me you'll be grateful for this one day," Wudao said. "Ready?"
I sighed and spread my legs apart equally from each other and bent my knees the way I was taught to. "Ready".
Wudao aimed a fist at my head but I ducked and swept my leg under her feet causing her to fall down.
She huffed, "Good but you need to be faster than that!" She then quickly sprang back up and kicked me in the stomach.
Which hurt a lot.
I then fell backwards onto something.
Something that was protesting the fact I was on top of him.
"Get off of me!" Dao yelled as he was squashed under me.
"Sorry sorry!" I said quickly as I stood up.
Dao grumbled as he stood up, "Watch where you fall will you?"
"I can't help it where I fall! I was freaking kicked in the stomach!" I retorted back.
"Then don't get kicked!"
"I'm trying!"
"Try harder!"
"Um guys?" Wudao said.
