The next day we set out with supplies and weapons  from the master.

“You do know we’re one short; where’s Bofur?”Bilbo asked.

“If he’s not here, we leave him behind.”Thorin replied.

“We have to, if we’re to find the door before nightfall. We can risk no more delays.”Balin said and then I saw Thorin tell KIli he couldn't go and Fili was dissapointed.

“Fili, don’t be a fool. You belong with the Company.”Thorin said to him but Fili ripped his arm out of his grasp.

“I belong with my brother.”Fili said and we began to sail away.

“...Bring good fortune to all!"The mater of laketown said but I wasn't listening to that nitwit.

“Goodbye!”Dori waved and I found it adorable. We sailed across the lake and climbed out. I saw the ruins.

“What is this place?”I asked.

“It was once the city of Dale. Now it is a ruin. The desolation of Smaug.”Balin said and I covered my mouth in shock.

“The sun will soon reach midday; let’s find the hidden door into the mountain before it sets. This way!”Thorin said and we were off to walk.

“Wait...is this the overlook? Gandalf said to meet him here. On no account were we-”Bilbo was cut off.

“Do you see him? We have no time to wait upon the wizard. We’re on our own.”Thorin said and we kept walking. “Come.” Thorin said and I took his hand. We walked towards the mountain.

“Anything?”Thorin asked Dwalin.

“Nothing!”Dwalin replied.

“If the map is true, the hidden door lies directly above us.” Bilbo began to look around and saw it the stairway carved into the statue.

“Up here!”Bilbo shouted.

“You have keen eyes, Master Baggins.”Thorin said and I smiled. We painstakingly climbed up them to a slab of stone on a clearing in the cliffside. “This must be it. The hidden door. Let all those who doubted us rue this day!” We all cheered.

“Right. We have our key, which means that somewhere, there is a keyhole.” Balin said and Dwalin began to look.

“The last light of Durin’s Day will shine upon the keyhole.” Thorin said. “Nori. We’re losing the light.”

“Come on!”Dwalin exclaimed kicking at the door.

“Be quiet! I can’t hear when you’re thumping.”Nori said.

“I can’t find it...it’s not here! It’s not here.”

“Break it down!”Thorin shouted. “Come on!“

“It’s no good! The door’s sealed. It can’t be opened by force. Powerful magic on it.”Balin exclaimed

“No! The last light of Durin’s Day will shine upon the keyhole. That’s what it says.” Thorin sounded dejected.  “What did we miss? What did we miss, Balin?”

“We’ve lost the light. There’s no more to be done. We had but one chance.” Balin was sad they were all sad. “Come away; it’s...it’s over.”

“Wait a minute!”I said.

“You wait.”Gloin said.

“Where are they going? You can’t give up now!” Bilbo said.

“Thorin...you can’t give up now.” I said and he looked at me pleading with me to go with him even though this had failed. The dissapointed was rampant in his bright blue eyes. I wouldn't leave I knew we did soething wrong but that we couldn't give up.

“Stand by the grey stone...” I walked towards the door.

“When the thrush knocks...” Bilbo continued.

“The setting sun...and the last light of Durin’s Day will shine. Hmm. The last light. Last light…” I mumbled and saw that the moon was shining on the door.

“The last light!” Bilbo exclaimed

“The keyhole! Come back! Come back! It’s the light of the moon, the last moon of autumn! Ha ha ha!” I laughed happily.

“Where’s the- Where’s the key? Where’s the- it was here…but it was here, it was here! It was just…” Bilbo kicked the key and it almost fell over but Thorin had stopped it and caught it. The other dwarves walked back up.  Thorin put the key into the keyhole and the door opened. thorin walked in along with Balin, Bilbo, and myself.

“Erebor.”Thorin said.

“Thorin…”Balin trailed off.

“I know these walls…these walls, this stone. You remember it, Balin. Chambers filled with golden light.”

“I remember.”

“Herein lies the seventh kingdom of Durin’s Folk. May the heart of the mountain unite all dwarves in defense of this home.” Gloin said and I looked at the carving on the wall.

“The throne of the king.”Balin said.

“Oh. And what’s that above it?”Bilbo asked.

“The Arkenstone.”Balin said.

“Arkenstone….And what’s that?”Bilbo asked.

“That, Master Burglar, is why you are here.”Thorin said and we sent Bilbo in there alone. I was scared for him.  "He'll be alright Elanor."

"I just hope that you're right. We may not be related but he is my brother still." Thorin wrapped his arms around me.

"Nothing will happen to him, you have my word as my future queen."

"Do you really that?"

"Which part?"

"That you want me to be your future queen?"

"Of course, I love you Elanor. " I love you, do you hear me? I love you." He said and kissed me when we heard a rumble.

“Was that an earthquake?"Dori asked.

“That, my lad...was a dragon.”Balin replied and I looked at Thorin with wide eyes still worried for Bilbo.
